NOTE: We will conclude the 2001 series, (before starting the 2002 games)with the 12/27 game. Therefore the are only 5 more games in which to score points for this year. GOOD LUCK!!

Below is today's Light picture to be named.
Here’s a brief list of guidelines that will be used.
1. Every Thursday (usually after 6 pm EST) a new light will be presented, barring problems.
2. The light may be from anywhere in the world.
3. Request that we limit guesses to 1/person/day
4. A hint may be provided every day starting on the 2nd day.
5.I will keep/post the running scores, scoring will be by points assigned for difficulty (1-5).
6. Post your guesses to this thread.
7. Your input (please!) with photos ENCOURAGED and appreciated, acknowledged when used.
8. Rate this a 5.

Current scoring as of 11/28 is:
sweetpshirin - 20
Derith - 14
SThompson - 11
Mombo - 8
Jchidester - 7
T&J Abbott - 7
Oseabee - 5
Ladybug - 4
Gebbyk - 4
Larry - 4
Chesapeake Byron – 2

Download this week's game here:

www.lighthousekeepers.com/games/NTFG22.exe

Once you have downloaded the game, just doubleclick on the exe file and start the STANDALONE VERSION. Remember, that solving the puzzle isn't by any means the end - you've got to use the completed puzzle as clues to figure which LH it is.
But of course, you can't win the game until you solve the jigsaw puzzle.

Right click on puzzle pieces to rotate them. Move them together and if you are right, they will stick together.

Time for a clue, George.

I solved the puzzle in record (for me) time thanks to the hint image.

And I got the letter clue.

I presume it's an anagram for?

-- the country?
-- the name of the lighthouse?
-- something else?

No more clues until Monday, as I'm determined to make it thru at least one weekend this year ! By the way, the next four don't get any easier !!!!

Oh, just FYI, there could be some GOOD prizes for the top scorers!!

St. John, you are indeed correct. It is an anagram!

Diane, - I was just thinking about that light myself.

Here's another link - http://hometown.aol.com/pochetti7/Bahia-Brazil1.html

I just don't know. Seems like the number of stripes differ.

Yea, that was the one I thought of too. But the number of walkways at the top and the stripes don't match up.

Nice to finally see a light that challenges the group but at this rate, we'll still be trying to figure this out by the time #23 comes out!

Now that I've spent too much time today trying to figure out the light I must go make dinner.

Hope someone figures it out soon!

Well I thought I might have it being in a country that speaks Portuguese, Portugal or Brazil but I have exhausted the resources I could find, so I'm figuring I'm headed in the wrong direction.

The National Flag is yellow, blue, & green, with 28 white stars.

If you know the country email me and I will give you another photo!

Is it Abrolhos, Brazil?

In one of the webaddresses I found it says something about the Rio Doce lighthouse in Abrolhos....soooo I am not sure of the name of the light....with further reading I think the name is ABROLHOS...
I haven't found a photo to compare...but this name has all the letters of the anagram?

I'd like a Dutch Masters for finding this one. My grandfather smoked that brand cigars. Couldn't tell you if they are even being made today.

Never did find a photo, just a list with lights in Brazil and then info to get into the port at Abrolhos which was interesting reading to me. Wonder where George found the photo?

http://www.petrobras.com.br/ingles/ingles/company/port/regencia/sumreg.htm

We have to locate a good website so we can use more of these Brazil lights in our International Lighthouse Game.

If I name my specific sources then the game becomes WAY too easy!! Let's just say that I have the same internet that you do, and a number of other resources most of which are widely available.

I REALLY WOULD like others to contribute to the puzzle pics as well.
