NAME THE FLAME PIC GAME ‘02 Round 2 May thru August


Below is today's Light picture to be named.
Here’s a brief list of guidelines that will be used.
1. Every Thursday (usually in PM EST) a new light-puzzle will be presented, barring problems.
2. The light(s) may be from anywhere in the world.
3. Please limit guesses to 1/person/day
4. A hint may be provided every day starting on the 2nd day.
5. I will keep/post the running scores.
6. Scoring will be by points assigned for difficulty (1-5), and placement. For
example, on a 5 point puzzle the following five levels will be awarded:
5 pts – 1st correct answer, 4 pts – 2nd, 3 pts – 3 rd, 2 pts – 4 th, 1 pts – 5th
For a 4 point puzzle there will be 4 levels awarded, etc.
7. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS ! Email your guess with the active clue word from the solved jigsaw puzzle.

8. Your input (please!) with photos ENCOURAGED appreciated, and acknowledged when used.

9. Rate this a 5, but with a scoring twist..

Download this week's (Round 2, Week 5) PART ONE

Once you have downloaded the game, just doubleclick on the exe file and start the STANDALONE VERSION. Remember, that solving the puzzle isn't by any means the end - you've got to use the completed puzzle as clues to figure which LH it is.
But of course, you can't win the game until you solve the jigsaw puzzle.
Right click on puzzle pieces to rotate them. Move them together and if you are right, they will stick together.

Okay, I think I've figured out 3, and maybe a 4th. As for the other two....*sigh*

Hey Diane, you're 3, maybe 4 ahead of me.

As for what they have in common...they are all in "the Americas", of course!

YOu can submit for partial credit, and you can submit more than once for cumulative credit, but not more than once per day! If you submit 3 correct, and then submit the others later you will get credit for all, including whatever positional points are available at that time.

Larry & Diane, apparently you are the only two working this monster, as I have not heard from anyone else. GOOD LUCK!!

Unfortunately, I have to go to NJ for a wedding this weekend, so if I'm wrong (which I fully expect to be), I won't be able to get back to this until next week some time.

Well I did the puzzle George and all I can say is, "Is it Thursday yet?"!!!! How you folks got the answers to this one is beyond me, great job!

These guys must have a photographic memory!! It amazes me. Sometimes I have trouble remembering what they were, but then again that may be a sign of another problem (age). LOL

All I can say is...Pure, Dumb Luck!! I knew what one of them was right away. The rest I pretty much stumbled across.

It's funny...once I get off Long Island, there are very few lighthouses I know by sight (the biggies...Hatteras, Ponce, St. Augustine). I generally struggle with these puzzles, but I enjoy the challenge of trying to figure out what they are.
