Now that we have completed the forward in time version of Timeline, we will continue the game in reverse from the original event (which will be the "pivot point" for all future Timeline games), which was the lighting of the Sea Girt Lighthouse in 1896. Although Part III has not reached 50 posts, I am starting a new thread to make it easier to go between the two games. Here's Part III: http://www.lighthousekeepers.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=37;t=000229 The Rules: We're working with the years of important events in individual lighthouses' histories. One person will list a year, a lighthouse, and an event that took place in that year at that light. The next person has to find another light with a DIFFERENT event that happened the next year. Once we run out of events going forward in time, we'll go back to my original event and go backwards. And so on and so forth, bouncing between 1716 and 2004/5. The twists and rules: -Why is "different" in caps? When you post an event, it cannot be the same thing as happened in the previous event. Example: My event is a lighthouse getting a new lens. The next person cannot make their event have to do with getting a lens in a light. This might get a bit confusing...go with your gut feeling. -Your event MUST be in the next year in the direction of play. If the previous post was 1876, you must post an 1875 (for backwards in time) or 1877 (for forwards in time). -All lights must be in the US. -You must provide a link to a webpage with the fact you are presenting on it. -One post per person per day. However, if you posted in Part III today, you may post again in Part IV, as a "completion bonus". Here's my event: 1895: Round Island, MI Lightstation established. http://www.michiganlights.com/roundislandlh.htm The next event should be for 1894. Have fun!
