My wife and I are planning a trip to Maine and are planning to hit a few lighthouses along the way.

It also occured to me that we discuss many topics on this site but to my knowledge have done very little at recognizing the dealers that somehow go above the norm when it comes to HL's.

So in that vein...it is my great pleasure to nominate Lighthouse Gallery and Gifts of Nags Head & now Duck as well.
I also found Miller's Lighthouse Store in Occoquan, Va to be exceptional.

Any other stores worth mentioning out there?

I'll have to go along with you about the "Lighthouse Gallery" in Nags Head. I've been visiting there since the day they opened and fine them to be nice people to deal with...both in-person as well as "on-line". Good look'in store, too.
Someday soon I'll try to check out their store in Duck. Is that as nice as the one in Nags Head?

I have to go along with the rest here regarding Lighthouse Gallery and Gifts. Cindy and Woody have been very pleasant as well as helpful. While visiting the area, my wife and I enjoy visiting the shop, talk lighthouses, and of course, feed Lilly her favorite goodie.

Brent, it doesn't have quite the selection as the Nags Head store, but I enjoyed seeing the 'waving sailor' again. Those of you who attended the hatteras event will remember him.

Also I will look to grace my Virginia car with a lighthouse plate. I was glad to see that.
