Matching Money For Your Lighthouse Preservations Donation An individual private benefactor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has pledged to match 25% of all donations made on-line to the American Lighthouse Foundation between Dec. 21 and Dec. 31, provided those donations total a minimum of $20,000 by midnight Dec. 31, 2005.
The matching grant also includes donations made by mail that are postmarked December 21 through December 30, 2005 to the American Lighthouse Foundation, P.O. Box 889, Wells, ME 04090.
Since there is not much time allowed for the matching grant, this means your donation will now be more vital than ever before. Donations can be made on line at
www.LighthouseFoundation.org. Although this is an unusual and unique grant pledge, it is also a fantastic opportunity to help us offset the lower than usual year-end donations caused by what the media has described as indirect results of terrorism, natural disasters and rising energy costs..
If you have already made your year end donation, we would ask that you dig a little deeper and make an additional contribution. Perhaps you can match or double your last donation.
If you have not yet made your year-end donation, please do so now to help us with the 25% matching pledge.
Opportunities like this rarely occur and we are asking that you consider supporting our lighthouse preservation efforts now, more than ever before.
Since the American Lighthouse Foundation exists solely on donations, this 25% matching grant drive is vital to help in our ongoing mission of saving lighthouses, operating the Museum of Lighthouse History and our educational programs.
You can make a difference. Thanks for your support and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
