Hello all,

An quick update on the 2002 Wacko Pin. As of last night, 106 people had submitted order forms via the Wacko Pin web site. Total number of pins ordered is over 175 so far. Thank you all for your support again for the Wacko Pin project.

The top three states with the most orders submitted continue to be:

1 - Florida (12)
2 - New York (10)
3 - Texas (8)

And there has been wonderful support and participation from many land-locked states, including Utah, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, New Mexico and Arizona.

If you haven't yet submitted your order, please click Wacko Pin and read about the history of the Wacko Pin and fill out your order form. The Wacko Pin Committee anticipates that orders will close sometime in the second half of April. Don't miss out!

Thank you all,
The Wacko Pin Committee

Good morning all,

A quick update on the 2002 Pin. You are tantalizingly close to ordering 200 pins. This would be a fabulous milestone and in all likelihood result in the largest Wacko Pin donation to date.

When you think about it, at just 200 pins, this is one of the rarest Harbour Lights items ever. The pins are based on Paul Brady's photos of the Harbour Lights replica of the beneficiary lighthouse. What other Harbour Lights based items have had such limited availability?

If you've thought at all about supporting the Wacko Pin project and SE Block Island Lighthouse, now's the time. Order your pin by visitng the Wacko Pin web site.

Thank you all once again for your enthusiastic support over the years.

The Wacko Pin Committee.

Hello again everyone, posters and lurkers alike! You know who you are!

An update on the 2002 Wacko Pin orders. Are you old enough to remember Billy Crystal on SNL? "You've been marvelous!".

Over 130 people have sent in order forms, via the Wacko Pin web site, representing over 230 pins. This will be the largest donation from the Wacko Pin project yet. Thank you all.

The order period ends on April 26th so if you haven't placed an order yet, time is almost up. Vist the Wacko Pin web page and submit your order and get your check in the mail on Tuesday.

Also, now's a good time to be thinking about candidates for the 2003 Wacko Pin. The nomination process and time will be announced soon. As in previous years, eligible candidates have to have already been produced by Harbour Lights as Limited, Society, Reunion or Event editions. LLOMs are not eligible.

What's your favorite lighthouse restoration project? Why? Be ready to convince other voters with your lighthouse's tale and potential.

Thank you all for such a successful 2002 campaign. If you've sent in an order, please follow up with your check too. Only paid orders are eligible for the SE Block Island Opportunity Drawing.

WackoPin

Hello everyone,

The order period for the 2002 Wacko Pin has ended. While a final tally cannot be done for a few days (to allow all of those last minute checks to arrive) it appears that well over 200 pins will be sold this year.

THANK YOU! for making 2002 the best Wacko Pin year yet.

The committee Chairperson has determined that the Wacko Pin web page did not add significant value to the Wacko Pin process this year. Therefore all updates and announcements regarding the 2003 Wacko pin will take place here, on the HLCF. Watch this space!

That's not exactly accurate WackoPin. The reasons we are no longer using the webpage is because we lost the services of the webmaster and the place on the 'net to host the page. It has nothing to do with determination of significant value.

Good Sunday morning everyone,

I just opened the latest issue of Lighthouse Digest magazine. Here's a list of lights from the magazine's Doomsday List that have already been Harbour Lights Limited Editions, therefore meeting one of the eligibility requirements to be nominated for the 2003 Wacko Pin.

Bodie Island, NC
Cape St. George, FL
Esopus Meadows, NY
Morris Island, SC
Sankaty Head, MA
Sharp's Island, MD

There are other eligibility requirements that must be met, so this is just one bit of information to consider. For instance, as a previous Wacko Pin winner, Morris Island is not eligible. A complete list of eligibilty requirements will be posted when nominations for the 2003 Wacko Pin are opened later this year.

Thanks to all who supported the 2002 Wacko Pin Project. With your help and support we sold 242 pins to benefit Southeast Block.

Way to go guys and gals
