Lorna & I are just getting ready to return to the Cape to start the car cruise portion of "Headlights for Lighthouses." They had a great crowd at the Holiday Inn in Falmouth yesterday afternoon and evening. They had a lot of interest in all the displays about lighthouses and other related topics.

Nancy Younger was present representing Harbour Lights along with Paula the area HL Rep. Bill was unable to attend due to rehab on his new knee. Nancy said it's tough keeping him away, but "doctor's orders"!

Spoke with the gang from NELL who were working hard promoting the club. Chris Alex was there from Collector's World showing the new "Three Sisters" piece. I must say they did a very attractive job on that piece. I also spoke with Jim from Cape Annies Lights, the newest Cape Cod HL dealer. Jim had a great display of products at the exhibit.

I finally was able to pull Roxie away for a quick interview. She was overwhelmed with the response to the event! It appears there will be a much larger crowd than expected today. There were certainly a lot of classic cars already in the lot last night. Many, many more have registered and will probably send the total well over the original prediction of 500 classic and muscle cars. Roxie added there were 20 states already represented at the event and there was a party there from Sweden. Talk about coming a long way for the ALF Conference!

That's it for now, time for the final washing-off of the pollen off the Vette then on to Cape Cod!

I'm back from the Cape and "Headlights for Lighthouses". It was a super time! Great crowd and perfect weather made for a fabulous day! I managed to visit every light on the program and especially enjoyed the ride to, the visit, and the ride back from Race Point. That was quite an adventure, to say the least.

I'm off to work right now but will be posting some pics later today or tomorrow.

Looking forward to your pictures Bob.

Sharon and I couldn't make it as we were tied up at church. Sounds like a great time was had.

I will load up some people pics and a few cars pics next time I get a chance. I'm working on the boat today so this is my five-minute break.

I hope you enjoy the pics I've loaded so far. It was a beautiful cloudless day to take pictures!

Nice pics so far Bob. It was nice to see you at the Holiday Inn Friday night. We headed out early on Saturday to visit the lighthouses. Penny, NELL webkeeper has started to post images on the NELL website. I hope that those NELL members who attended will continue to send images to Penny for posting. You may visit the site at http://www.nell.cc to view the images posted so far.

Greats pics, Ron & Shirin! I would be interested in hearing how you got out to Wing's Neck. There are plenty of those "Don't even think of tresspassing or we'll kill you" signs and no parking at all. I would also be interested in hearing how you got to Point Gammon. I've never been there. I thought it was hidden on private property.

I just finished posting captions under the pics I posted from the Headlights for Lighthouses cruise. It's amazing how much time it takes to upload photos, post them, and then write a brief description of each picture. I would highly recommend each of you visit the NELL site by using the link in Ron's post. Shirin and Ron have some great pictures there.

Thanks for posting all your nice pictures Bob. I know it does take a long time to get your pictures downloaded then posted and commentary.

I haven't seen those lighthouses since the Providence Reunion. It was nice to be taken back down memory lane. laugh

smile Thanks for the great pictures Bob! cool

Some of the attendees weren't able to make it to all of the lights and you have given those people a look at the entire cruise.

It is always nice to meet members of the Collector Forums in person. We were lucky that the event was last weekend with the beautiful sunny weather!

Thanks again for sharing your photos!

Best,
Paul
