Just logged on for the first time since returning from the Michigan tour. I haven't had time to read all the posts, but put Kay and I in for $20 and I'll read the remainder tomorrow.

This is a great idea and gives all who donate a reason to climb Point Sur (not to mention the splendor of the lighthouse lantern room and the high winds outside on the rail.

HAS THIS PROJECT BEEN ABANDONED AND FORGOTTEN IF SO PLEASE LET US (THE DONERS) KNOW THAT THERE WILL BE NO DEDICATEATION CEREMONY.

Sorry, friends, but I have had things in my career and personal life that have come up over the last few months that has left me short on time to continue with the planning of this ceremony at this time.
Twiggy, are you volunteering to handle the ceremony? If not, is there someone out there that is willing to handle it?
The most important part of this is that the lighthouse did receive the money!
Anyone that has time and is interested in planning the ceremony please email me and I will give you the contact info.

Thanks for bringing this up. We have been wondering about the prism replica and the ceremony but have been unable to get information. As the winner of the replica we wondered how it will be awarded to us. Will it be part of the ceremony or will it be mailed? If we have enough notice to purchase reasonably priced airfare tickets we would like to be in attendance at the ceremony. Actually at this point we really don't know what's going on!

Twiggy, that would be so great if you could take care of the ceremony. Point Sur is a beautiful site however, it is not an easy one to get to...I have been there twice but only with a group. Bill & Judy it's great that you won the prism and it would be wonderful if you could be there to have them give you the prism in person. If that's not possible I bet if you asked they would send it to you. Jim did such a great job on this project and I know for a fact that he wishes he could be there too. Thanks to all of you that made this project so great.

We agree with you that Jim did do a great job on this fundraiser. It was a terrific idea and hopefully we will be able to attend. Everything is dependent upon dates and if Twiggy is able to organize the ceremony. We'll keep an eye on the posts in this section.
