Tickets sales are realing going well to cruise these unique, hard-to-see lighthouses. If you thinking about it you better act soon.

Got home a little while ago from the Nassau County lighthouse cruise/picnic.
It was a beautiful day on a gorgeous boat, with the company of some wonderful lighthouse folks!
Thanks to those forum members who attended the event and those who participated in the raffle!

Clear blue skies and 70 degrees greeted our group as we boarded the Skyline Princess to see the three LI hard to get close lighthouses in Nassau County - Stepping Stones, Execution Rock, and Sands Point. We had several of our connected collectors and NELL members join us as well as a couple from Maryland. Sam, the Captain of the Skyline Princess told me he would get close enough to the lighthouses to hear the bottom of the boat scrape. Great time was had by all and we concluded our trip with a barbeque lunch at a local park. A heavenly day! - Bob

I'll second that Bob, a GREAT time was had by all. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather, better company or tastier food. I was able to add all three lighthouses to my personal list of ones I have seen.
As we approached Execution Rock I couldn't help but think of those pirates, and other scoundrels, who were chained to the rocks at low tide and left to die as the tide came in and covered the rocks.
Following the picnic we headed for the George Washington Bridge and Jeffrey Hook, made famous by the children's story "The Little Red Lighthouse and The Great Gray Bridge", another lighthouse I had never seen and the perfect ending to a wonderful day.
It was nice to see all of the folks we already knew and to meet some new lighthouse lovers as well.
Thanks for a splendid day.
