A three-day trip to see 10 Maine lighthouses and visit 3 of its most famous ones. Your trip starts by boarding your luxury motor coach in Greenport, New York, then to New London on the Cross Sound Ferry viewing lighthouses on your way. After arriving in Maine and picking up box lunches you will proceed to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, one of its most historic (it will be on your new quarters) as well as Fort William Henry (circa 1692) and Museum.

The next day you will board your boat for Lights of the Kennebec. Cruise on the historic Kennebec River with a lunch stop at Seguin Island Lighthouse, one of Maine's oldest light stations, and its only operating 1st Order Fresnel Lens. A second stop will be made at Burnt Island Lighthouse in Boothbay Harbor. After viewing six more lighthouses your boat will return to Bath, where you will get a special tour of the famous Maine Maritime Museum followed by a lighthouse lecture and dinner at the Museum restaurant.

On Sunday your motor coach will return to New London with a shopping and lunch stop at the famed Lighthouse Depot and a stop at the picturesque Cape Neddick (Nubble) Lighthouse.

How I would love to go on this trip but it isn't possible. I live on the wrong side of NY state and I just couldn't do it on a weekend. If you have another next summer - I will be there!!

smile Eskilady - I am sure it will be a great trip and any Lighthouse Enthusiast from the New York area who goes will certainly get their moneys worth! Even if they only got to see Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and the Nubble - Cape Neddick Light, they will have seen two of the most beautiful lights in all of New England! Believe me I know first hand. I probably have more pictures of Nubble Light than anyone in the U.S. and last week I spent a couple of days at the Hotel Pemaquid (next door to the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse) and took three rolls of film, a very beautiful lighthouse with breathtaking scenery!

Believe me, if I lived in the New York area I would be signing up for this cruise! smile
