On my way to the sporting section of my favorite bookstore, I saw the August 2003 of Midwest Living.

On the cover is my favorite HL Sherwood Point, inside are 4 lighhouse postcards: Round Island, Split Rock, Eagle Harbor and Cana Island.

They then list the top 25 destinations in the Midwest:

#1: Northshore Minnestota (Split Rock and Two Harbors Light)

#4: Door County (10 Lighthouses)

#13: Ludington, MI

#19: Bayfield, WI (Apostle Islands)

Not a bad vacation if you can make it to all of them, especially if you leave Door County and head to Ludington around Lake Michigan, you can see almost 40 lights if my math is correct...

Ludington has two lights, one of them very close to the ferry landing. The APostle Islands have 8 lights if I remember correctly.

Thanks Larry for the heads up. I haven't received this issue in the mail yet. (Maybe I let the renewal slide). I will check the magazine racks this week. It sounds like a good issue!
