If you want to let people know when you mail your card for this exchange, you can post this here.

It is not necessary to post that you have received cards, but you are welcome to do so.

My card for this exchange was mailed 6/3/03.

Well John, I guess you won't be late for this one!

All senders, please write PCE17 somewhere in the message of your card.

Sue,

I put PCE #17 on the label for the cards.

Also, I resent the labels this afternoon with the minor updates. They have a file name PCE #17 revised june 03. If you did not get them or cannot open the Word file e-mail me at wheland@optonline.net and I'll do my best to assist you.

If by chance you have already printed your labels or labeled your post cards it's not a big deal . The changes do not affect the addresses for mailing- just some changes to spelling of names.

A few people should respond that they have received a person's card so that the sender knows the USPS has done its job. All 25 do not need to respond. It is very, very helpful if you do post that you have sent your cards to alert others. This also helps to quickly identify those cards that may in fact be absorbed by the system (maybe your mail person is starting their own collection . . . .)

This few person is responding that she received John's card today, thanks! It's a neat view, quite different than the one John got quite recently (no M-16's in sight!)

I carried those cards around the country, intending the mail them when I said I would (did?). I ended up hand-delivering them at the Regional and dropping the remaining ones at a Post Office in Port Huron MI on Monday.

Man I am every prepared for PCEs and Round Robins now! I think I have over 100 new lighthouse post cards on hand!! Whoopee!

Dropped my cards into the mail on my way out of work. And now that I've looked again at the sign up thread for this exchange I see that I'm a bit early. I hope ya'll aren't too upset that I mailed my cards too soon.

John,

I got your card today. It's one that I saw the same way the postcard looks.

I got to Ft Point 2 years ago when in San Francisco visiting my son, Doug.

Thanks,

Dennis

CARDS? Color Photo Post Cards of Lighthouses. Check the link in the first message on this thread. It's an exchange. You participate by sending out a lighthouse post card to 25-27 people and you get 25 cards from the other participants.

Or were you asking something else?

Received John's card yesterday. That is quite a view of Fort Point. It is a "must see" the next time we get out to San Francisco.

We've decided that photo on the post card must have been taken from a helicopter. The angle I showed in my photo was taken from the bridge area.

Thanks for the postcard JoAnn. I stopped in Victoria last August while I was on an Alaskan cruise.

My sister found that card while we were there and I didn't get one(the store had closed by the time I saw her card). I was trying to get her to give me her's. Now I have my own! wink

Hi All,
I am visiting my son in Denver (Littleton,CO)
Colorado, but can't wait to see all the new postcards waiting for me when I return home. Hope you all are having a great summer.
We are having a super visit with our son and his wife and our grandson. Rode up to the top of Pike's Peak on the Cog Railray. And, drove to the highest point in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
wink
Since I am such a novice when it comes to computers, my son and grandson have been trying to enlighten me a little.
My son helped me update my Windows 98 on my laptop which hadn't been updated in 5 yrs. But, I don't use it that often. My grandson, Jonathan helped me add a picture to my name on my post message. I hope it appears when I send this post.

Until the next time, Regards to all

While I was in San Diego, I received 2 new cards from Ruthie and Carol Z.

I have to also give a big THANKS to Charles. He was so nice to send me a new South Bass, Ohio card after mine got torn in the mail. He even put it in and envelope so it wouldn't have a chance to be torn again. laugh

There sure are lots of nice people on the collector forums. smile

Dennis,
Thanks for the great postcards of the lighthouse stamps. I plan to put them in my scrapbook along with the actual stamps. PERFECT!!
Someday I hope to get to Kileau. Have been to Hawaii but not since we've caught the ligthhouse virus. We need to make plans soon, though.
Thanks again!

Marblehead, Mass. Lighthouse, you will always have a very special place in our hearts. ....We've made the journey as far south as New Jersey, as far north as Canada. Over 100 lighthouses visited.... and so many more to go.

A good point to ponder, Bob. When I read everyones posts it becomes readily apparent that Dennis has mailed a tradtional card exchange entry in an envelope. While I consider appropriate punishment for this violation I am willing to accept bribes . . .

Dave,

Appropriate bribes- I mean evidence of infraction- are on the way to you.

At least they will be when the mailman comes this afternoon.

Continued in Part II .

Mel, I didn't say anything bad about Dennis, just that I was considering an appropriate punishment for his deviation from the rules. However, given Dennis' last post, I think the issue is resolved (tic).
