I don't have any lighthship postcards but I can share some pictures I took of a lightship a couple of weeks ago in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

This lightship is anchored in the canal by the Rotterdam Maritime Museum. The name on the lightship says: 't Lichtschip Bar Brasserie, Breeveertien.

I don't have any information about the lightship but thought you might like seeing these photos.

BTW...I thought cruising through the Kiel Canal between Germany and Denmark on a cruise ship was spectacular!

thanks for sharing the wonderful photos. We have been to Rotterdam last weekend to visit this ship - it is the former English lightship no. 11. It was a maritime restaurant after decommission and is now for sale for 499,500 Euros. So if we hit the Lotto-jackpot this weekend...

You are right, cruising through the Kiel Canal is wonderful, especially in spring, when the (rape)fields are yellow. We are very often sitting at the Kiel Canal in the evening for a picknick, watching the cruise ships.
