Bob,
You didn't read the thread. I said early on I would collect addresses & distribute. Any folks in this exchange that were not in St. John's original exchange need to e-mail me your snail mail address. I will get them together and distribute to all.

I need addresses from: Ladybug, Oseabee, Pharologst, Randy, Sunshine, Mrs TLC & Beaconfollower.

Dave

I just received the last of the addresses and have completed the address list. I have e-mailed the list to all participants (at least I hope I have!) Please let me know if any corrections need to be made or if I missed anyone.

Happy Postcard Lighthousing.

I just received a beautiful postcard of Assateague Light from Bill O'Brien (OSEABEE). This is the first card I've received from the latest postcard swap.

I noticed Bill's card had a 20 cent postage stamp on it. Is it safe to assume the postcard rate didn't go up like the first class rate?

Hi Bob,...Received your postcard the other day and forgot to say thanks. Yours was the first one in from PE3. I don't recall getting a postcard of a light with snow in the picture before. One of my favorite lights too! Thanks!

Bob,

We received your postcard in the mail today. Great picture and one we hope to visit someday.

Also we got the postcard from Bill (Oseabee) at the beginning of the month. Just want to make sure the address for Bill is right now that he has moved. Is it in Bradenton?

That makes two so far. Hope to get ours out in the next couple of weeks.

It's been great...I've received two so far...one from Oseabee and the other from Bob...they are both unique...I have a few that my neice bought for me in San Diego and I will send them out...the rest will have to wait till we go someplace to pick some more up...those darn lighthouses are just so difficult to find here in AZ.

My postcards go into the mail TODAY, 1/26/01. I've been told that the mail here in Murphy "takes a few extra days". All my incoming mail seems to bear this out, even the stuff right here from Murphy!!

ENJOY !

The cards went in the mail this morning (1/29/01). You will either be receiving White River, Big Sable Point or Point Betsie. All Michigan Lights coming to a mail box near you.

Todd and Marla,

We got a Big Sable Point Light postcard in the mail today. Nice postcard. Jeff and I have gone there many times.

When you come over to this side of the state later this year, let us know and maybe we can meet you somewhere.

I just mailed all the postcards for the "mailed without an envelope" postcard exchange. Everyone got the same card so there shouldn't be any duplicates for the next ones I preparing for mail in an envelope. Those should be ready by the first of the week.

Sheryl,

I am ashamed.....LOL

All three cards I sent out are lighthouses that Harbour Lights has sculpted: White River, Big Sable, and Point Betsie.

Just a little ribbing.....

Well since I have been answering the forum at work (don't tell ok?) I'll have to go back and let you know which Michigan one it is. I got Bob McKeon's card today. Nice one of Plymouth Gurnet Light, in Plymouth Mass. I have to admit that even though I grew up in Massachusetts (Weymouth) and have been to Plymouth many times. I have never seen this lighthouse. Guess I need to take a trip to Plymouth next time I go home. I just love getting these Postcards. There are just so many lighthouses, will I ever live long enough to see them all!

I also received post cards yesterday from Todd and Bob. It's funny how some cards get to UT so quick and others seem to drag along the way. These cards get me jammed up for another year of lighthouse trips.

We received the Barge Canal from Sheryl and a card of Washington lighthouses from Darlene. Both came through in great shape. We echo Dave's words: never new that Barge Canal existed without the card from Sheryl. Darlene's card makes us want to take that trip someday.

Thanks,

OK everyone. I have a minor problem. I have lots of post cards. Having used up cards of my local lighthouses, I asked my daughter who teaches in San Jose to locate cards for me, and she did. Unfortunately, I didn't specify size, and she got some great cards showing Point Arena, or Pigeon Point or Point Montara, but they are 5 X 7" instead of 4 X 6.

I also have some 4 X 6" cards of Oregon coast lights. They include Cape Arago (1), Cape Blanco (1), Umpqua River (2), Heceta Head (2), Coquille River (2), Yaquina Head (1), Yaquina Bay (1) and Tillamook Rock (1).

If you have a preference, e-mail me with what you'd like. Otherwise, you'll get a nice card of one of those lighthouses.

Rich

Another card today from Darlene agroup of beautiful Washington lights.when you compare them to our east coast lights they are so much younger in age maybe starting to save them now will be a great help instead of waiting as long as on the east coast. The beauty of the west coast lights are a great contrast from east coast construction.Bill O'Brien oseabee

So far, I have received the following:
Darlene, love those Washington lights
Bob McKeon,Plymouth Gurnet Light, great card
Todd, White River Light, never saw this one before
Sheryl, Barge Canal Lighthouse, thanks for introducing me to this light
Mary & Jeff Meyer, Fort Gratiot, this certainly is a stately lighthouse
Pharologst, Sandy Hook, can't wait to climb this light on the tour during the reunion

Thanks one and all for these great postcards.
Derith

Checked my list today, received seven so far this exchange. Bob's Montauk Pt. which we still have to visit! Ponce from Bill, Sea Girt from Pharologist. Washington state group from Darlene again all we hope to see someday. Plymouth light from Bob, again a future visit. Two from Great Lakes area, White River from Todd, Holland from the Meyers. The Holland arrived the day after Valentine's Day, when we had treated ourselves to the LE Holland courtesy of Randy Kremer. The postcard really makes it a must see light someday!

I had one other card in the month of January from Tim Watts which completed my second list. I only had one no-show in the first group. Not bad considering how the cards can slip inside other pieces of mail.

I'll be working on getting mine out in the next few weeks.
