For those who like their lighthouse post cards pristine and unbent by the USPS, here's the place to sign up.

Similar to the other exchanges, just no writing on the card and mail it in an envelope. Most people also include a note or something from the Internet about the lighthouse shown on the card.

I'm #1 on this one. Limit is 25 people. You'll need 27 cards so you keep one and send one to Connie Small and one to Keeper's son John Gaskill.

Runs from June 1 to September 30.

Marblehead, Mass. Lighthouse, you will always have a very special place in our hearts. ....We've made the journey as far south as New Jersey, as far north as Canada. Over 100 lighthouses visited.... and so many more to go.

Hi everyone,

I have never participated in a post card exchange, but I have always wanted to ever since I discovered you do this.

How soon would I need to mail the cards?
Should the cards be all the same? Or can they be different?

I don't have many postcards for sharing now. When I was in Hawaii in February, I looked all over for postcards of the lights in Oahu, but I couldn't find any!! However, I will be doing some lighthousing on my vacation in Washington State at the end of June. I'm also planning a trip to the Apostle Islands in Wisconsin this summer.

Would the beginning of July be too late? If so, I'll wait until the next exchange to participate.

Tammy

Tammy,

As set by the person who started this exchange (John), it will run from June 1 to September 30. Cards can be sent any time in that time frame. Personally, I prefer to send all the same card so that I know who got what - this will make a difference when you participate in future exchanges. Cards from the PNW would be fine, but I think maybe we are due for some from the Apostles (hint, hint).

I have sent Apostle Island postcards: Sand Island and Raspberry Island.

So,Tammy when you are buying postcards keep that in mind that the other islands would be ones not sent out so far.

Still need 2 more participants before I send out the names and addresses. Anyone else? If 2 more don't sign up by Tuesday (June 3), I'll close it with whatever we have and we'll go ahead.

Some people have their cards already, others have until the end of September to buy and send their cards. Surely you'd like to get 25 new Lighthouse post cards!?!

Thanks, Larry R for signing up. I'm awaiting your snail mail address to add to the labels. I've sent everyone a draft of the names and addresses to review. If you find an error, REPLY TO ALL and let them know how to fix it.

I will send out an update to everyone after I return from the Michigan Regional.
