Got a nice, very red, card from Terry (TD). Is of Two Harbors, MN, just down the road from Split Rock or just up the road from Duluth.

Well I broke down and finally took the time to address and write a quick note on all the postcards for this exchange (7/1/01 - 12-31-01). Tomorrow I'll head to the Post Office to affix the proper postage and mail them. I would suspect everyone in the exchange should have them by the end of the week.

Been lax in letting you know which cards I have received. Thanks to George for Navesink, really nice, Two Harbors from Terry, Boca Grande, and Scituate, which I am going to see next weekend. Thanks everyone.

Got a great Cana Island card from Suzanne today (Thursday). This will be a wonderful addition to the collection, as one can never have enough cards of Great Lakes lighthouses!

I want to thank everyone for the great cards I've received. Looking for cards in my mailbox is much better than finding bills or junk mail. Does everyone send the same card to everyone or different cards to everyone on the list.

In answer to your question Judy...I try to send each group the same card or maybe 2-3 different ones of the same area. This may seem a little on the overkill side but I have printed the mailing list for each group and wrote down which card I sent each person and what card I received from them. Now that we are on exchange # 5 & 6, I am glad I have a record of which cards I have sent since many of the same people are on the list.

Also thanks to all of you for the great cards I have received. It is amazing that I have received only one duplicate card out of all six exchanges!!!

Thanks for all the beautiful cards. They only make me want to visit more lighhtouses. They're great!
To answer your question, Sunshine, I send the same card to each person with a some-what personalized note on each. I send a different card for each exchange I enter. This is only my second so far. No duplicates to date.

I try to send some different each time. I hit all the shops in the area of lighthouses and look for new issues of area lights. Hopefully, the recipients of my cards don't get the exact same card twice. They might receive the same light but a different view.

Out of all the postcards received from the many exchanges, I have only one duplicate and it was of one I BOUGHT MYSELF WHEN I WAS AT THE LIGHT!

The card exchange is almost as much fun as HL's themselves!!

My thanks also for the great cards that are gracing my mailbox and my collection....Cana Island and Watch Hill arrived today....

Try my best to get cards of the not-so-known lights. But, send all one kind to the group if I can find enough.

I try to get all one card for everyone if I can find enough. I sent Alcatraz on the last go around. I remember buying 27 so I'd have one for my book and one extra. Bought them when we toured the lighthouse.

When it came time to send them, I came up with 24. I think one of my daughters sent one or two to their friends since they climbed the lighthouse too, but never figured out which one. So I had to send Heceta Head to Harry.

I also love getting the variety of lighthouses mixed in with my bills and junk mail. Makes it fun to go to the mailbox.

I received Rich's card of Alcatraz the other day. Heather's favorite place. We visited the island in April while on spring break, but I'm sure jealous of Rich and the others being able to climb the tower!

Recently also received Bob M's excellent card of Minot's Ledge.

Thank you all,

Dave

Got Lorie's card showing Assateague today. Heather read the card before I got home, and boy was she jealous! She was upset 'cause she didn't get to see the wild horses. She only saw a pair of black swans in the traditional "heart" setting.

Guess I better not mention that I will be visiting this light again in a little over a month!

I received Assateague from Lorie Roe and Sandy Point from Dave in the mail today. I hope I get to see both in Baltimore and on the bus trips. Can't wait.

Got Judy's card of Avery Point, CT in yesterday's mail. I'm beginning to think she joins these post cards exchanges so she has an excuse to travel and visit diffrent lights so she can pick up her cards! Thanks for adding this one to my collection, Sunshine.
