I hope mine arrive in your mailboxes today. (Except Iris; yours came back to me. It went out again yesterday.)

Not for postage, but because the post office read my return address as the "to" address. Should arrive by Epiphany.

Bob, I received your card yesterday along with Roy and Carolyn's. It always seems to take mine longer to arrive than everyone else's.

Bob, received your card on Tuesday last mail delivered during the blizzard. No more mail until the road is plowed by the county and we dig out the mailbox (we live out in the sticks and the mailboxes are down at the road). Not much point in trying to dig out the mail box until after the plow comes through.

1- Postman can't make it up the road until plowed.

2- The plow will just cover the mailbox again if we dig out prior. lol

We got 36" of snow in Franktown, not to mention the 5' to 6' drifts.

Just wanted to thank you all for letting me participate in the Christmas Card exchange once more. This is the third year, and for me, it just keeps getting better and better ...

Hope all the Christmas' shared among those here on site were all that you hoped and dreamed for ... and of course the trick now is to carry that spirit throughout the year ...

Merry Christmas to you all!

John, your card made its way to Germany - thank you very much.

Roy & Carolyn, is the Christmas tree in your card real? It looks great!

I've received everyones card except Jen's and Greg's. Jen, I sure hope yours wasn't lost in the mail because we know you had sent it. Greg's will come once he finishes his annual holiday on the Outer Banks.

To all of you...this has been a wonderful Christmas exchange. Every card and note has been appreciated and enjoyed by me and family.

I too look forward to next years and am saving '06's! Thank you! smile

My first card to John Gakills came back but after getting an update on a new address for him I assume he received it. As for getting a card back from John do not expect one because he was added for the following reason.
Quote:
John Gaskill is the son of the last keeper at Bodie Island Light on the Outer Banks. He's retired Navy and spends summers at Bodie helping to explain what life was like living at the lighthouse and winters at a Navy home in Washington DC area. He was formerly at the Naval Home in Biloxi, but was evacuated before Katrina.
Still waiting for a fantastic card from Greg. eek

What a great Christmas Card Exchange it was!
Mine are still hanging up in my living room and I can't begin to tell you all the comments that I've gotten from this!

What does everyone do with their cards? I'm planning on keeping mine in a shoebox...saved returned addresses and some of the stamps too!

I'm finishing up the printing right now. I've got all the stamps ready, including the airmail ones, so I can put them all in the box for tomorrow's post (none today because of Gerald Ford).

Sorry again for the lateness...so many things got in the way this year, from hectic family weekends (moreso than usual) to the family card drama (moreso than usual) to the postage trouble (moreso than usual) to ink/printer/paper trouble (moreso than usual) to a lot of other stuff (moreso than usual).

Next year, I swear, I'm sending them off to Shutterfly or the like to get printed. It'd be about 10,000 times easier...

Hopefully everything will fall together and they'll start appearing in your mailboxes very soon...

Well, they're almost all out, except two or three that are somewhere here on my desk...it's giving me provocation to clean my desk to find it, though, which is good. Hopefully I'll find my month-overdue library book, too.

As you can see, I am disorganised in all areas of life.

Looks like the picture-for-today needs to be one of your messy desk so the picture-for-today tomorrow can be of your newly neat desk, grasshopper. beanie

Jen's card arrived in yesterday's mail. It got re-routed along the way from Michigan but pony express found it's way here. applaud Thanks Jen! The wait was way worth it! wink

Got the lost cards all re-made up, stamped, and in the box! They're going out tomorrow!

Now that the exchange is done...I must say that this was the best one yet. I loved every single one of the cards I got this year, as well as making them. It's always a blast, and this year was no exception! If I haven't been banned from the exchanges, I'm looking forward to participating next year. wink

So Greg, you did a masterful job photoshopping that Christmas card, and I enjoyed your greeting and message. If I'm wrong, I'd like some detail on that lighthouse?
thanks,

Greg, I also received your card today. I think it's rather nice to drag out...er...extend the season, so I like receiving yours mid January.

Nice job. I loved your card.

Can we do a Valentines or an Easter card exchange? This was fun!
