The only one I've gotten so far is Shirin's...but my mail is exceedingly slow around here since I live 45 minutes from any major metropolitan area...

Received your card today Bert. Just before opening yours I opened a card of the same lighthouse but a night shot from a fellow NELL member. Definately a very photogenic lighthouse. Thanks!

I got your card today, Stephanie. Mailman must have put a rush on it since I left you off the "in the mail" list. Also received card from Judy. Great cards from everyone so far, thanks.

Received my mail package today! And man was it FULL! eek

Two Christmas Cards (one from Shirin, and one from Sheryl). Three PCE#18, one PCE#19, one Round Robin, a nice letter from John Gaskill, and one PCE#14 (thanks Ron). And we won't talk about all the bills that wore in it too! laugh

My contribution to the Christmas card exchange is ready to go into the mail this afternoon. The news said Monday (15th) is the busiest day of the year for items being put into the mail - I wanted to beat the rush. Had to buy a new printer to get the job done, so I have included a bill for each person's share of the expense.

I have been home 1 day after being gone for 3 weeks. Thanks for all the really neat cards I have received the past few weeks.

I stayed up late last night to finish my cards so that they could hurry and get in the mail. I'm dropping them at the post office today so they should be on their way first thing in the morning.

I am always tardy in getting out my Christmas cards, but mine went out yesterday.

I've received wonderful cards from you guys, and am enjoying the lighthouse "flavor" of my mail. This was a great idea!

Glad I got to participate this year!

Ano ther big card day. Received cards from Lori, Carol & Judy C. (gee Judy, where have I seen that return label layout used???) The downside of these days when you receive lots of cards is that there are only a few more yet to come.

Got a great card from John today. While all the cards this time around have been really great, I think the home made ones have been exceptional.

Dennis, you are not alone.

I finally got mine in the mail last night.
It was quite an undertaking this year. Hope it is worth the wait. We have truly enjoyed all the cards received this year, especially the homemade ones.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season.

I have gotten some truely beautiful cards and I am going to play dumb (I really don't have to play very hard) and ask Dave and Darlene - what lights are on your cards? They are beautiful! I am glad that we did this card exchange - we should do another one in the middle of the year - how about a "July 4 card exchange"? :p

Eskilady, I'll give you some hints: both lights start with an "M", have been made by HL, and are what we would each consider our "home" lights.

Mukilteo Light Station is my "home light". For past ten years or so I have volunteered my time working at this light station giving tours [both private and general public], working in gift shop, help during festival, etc. etc. etc. Just sort of assumed everybody knew which light it was. Sorry about that. Glad you enjoyed the card. It took several trips to get a decent photograph; luckily I am only 15-20 minutes away from this beautiful station. Then a few more to get the card made at our local Walgreens--seems every time I went in the machine had just broken down. Was beginning to wonder if I would ever get it made.

I bet you all thought I had bailed out on this.

I'm mailing out my Holiday Cards tomorrow. It's not quite what I intended, but things just did not happen as I hoped.

I wanted to get to a Lighthouse and take a Christmas picture from this holiday season, but I just didn't get to any.

I then ran into computer problems- basically operator Error. So I finally gave up and went to CVS and got some cards made.

I got some very strange looks when I asked about making christmas Cards at several places before I found a CVS that had the right machine.

Sorry for the delay- but technically they will be out on time.

Time frame is until January 15, Dennis, so you made it with time to spare. Look at the up side of your problems - you gave some clerk at CVS something to talk about for a while: "some crazy guy came in to get Christmas cards made - in January. . .". I'm sure we will all enjoy your card.

My mail person gets a big kick from all my lighthouse mail. When she has to stop to bring me a package too big for the box, or one I need to sign for, she asks questions about lights.

The Fed-X guy and the UPS guy are the same way.

New recruits, maybe?

Dennis, your card coming later will be much appreciated...just extends the season.

And the bonus card of Tybee brings back some of my most favorite lighthouse memories. Thank you!

Dennis, I've received your card, and it is especially nice to receive yet another piece of Christmas.

Actually, it could be considered good stategy...brought a smile on a cold winter day in January. Thank you for the bonus gift of Cape Henry. Both the CH card and your Christmas print of Sandy Hook bring back very special lighthousing memories.

Thanks to everyone who participated. These are all cards that I cherish and will hold onto.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the Christmas card and the little extra postcard.

I tried to send a postcard that was either a Lighthouse in your home state or that I remembered you specifically mentioning for some reason. I couldn't do this for all, but I could for some of you.

I received Dennis' card and bonus today, so we will consider this year's Christmas Card Exchange a wrap. Thanks, Shirin for instigating it and thanks to all for the great cards. Many fine examples of creative minds.

(and, Dennis - you weren't late - remember, Shirin set the date to go thru 1/15!)
