Yes Bob your card is the first to arrive here for this exchange. Nice card, thanks!
(And I see that you put extra postage on this one to make up for the last one which had the 20 cent stamp! )

Bob, thanks for the card. I passed up on it during the trip hoping you would send it out for an exchange. Glad I won't be duplicating this card. This just means I'm still looking for a card for this exchange. Hmmmm....perhaps I'll just have to make some plans for a road trip.

Got your postcard in the mail today Bob. The tall grass is kind of a trademark of mine. It fits right in with my own pictures.

Mailed my cards for this exchange today. Hopefully they won't take a few months to arrive as has happened to some of mine in the past!

I put my cards for this exchange in the mail today. How is that for being timely! Actually, the postcards have been ready for the past two weeks - I was just waiting for today to mail them.

Enjoy! laugh

Linda,

To answer you're question- Yes, we've ben up to Maine to see Lighthouses.

We were there about 6 years ago and we just went back last week.

We spent 2 days in the Portsmouth, NH area and then drove up to Portland. We got to Portland Head (at 4:10 PM- Museum closes at 4 PM). It was very Foggy so we could barely see Ram's Ledge.

We also got to Cape Elizabeth, Portland Breakwater and Spring Ledge (also difficult to see due to the fog, even after walking out to the end of the Breakwater.)

I enjoyed the poem.

Dennis

Thanks for your card which arrived today, Linda. The poem on the card makes it truly special. Portland Head is the very first light that I saw and photographed a long time ago when the kids were small and we took a vacation through New England. Quite recently I was looking through an album of "trip pictures" from when they were young. Lo and behold there was one of Portland Head. I knew we had gone there but didn't realize I had a picture to prove it! smile

I got Sue's card last week (sorry smile ) , and Linda and Shirin's today. They're all great, ladies. I wish I would've gotten involved in these exchanges earlier. It's nice to come home and have something aside from bills waiting for me in the mail.

Jared, I agree with you completely. I didn't get started with these exchanges until #8. And now I actually look forward to opening that mailbox at the end of the day.

Thanks everyone,

Arrived home today from Lake Champlain and there weren't any cards. Then I remembered to ask my son if he picked up the mail from the day before and sure enough Carol's and Charles' cards had arrived. Thanks to you both, they're great! smile

I got George's card today.

It seems to me that those Lighthouses are familiar to me for some reason.

Nice choice.

Its been a busy summer so I haven't had the time to post every time I receive a new postcard. I am finally catching up and would like to thank Bob, Carol, Charles and Shirin for the great postcards that they sent!!

I was happy to hear that people liked the poem on the postcard that I sent. I purchased those postcards when we visited Portland Head this past May. What a beautiful place it is up there!

Looking forward to receiving more postcards over the upcoming months. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

After a VERY busy summer, I have sent out my latest round of postcards. I had a great time on my trip buying these cards. I hope you all like them.

I made it through the last 4 months with my daughter's college graduation, in charge of my parents 50th wedding anniversary, my daughter's wedding on August 20th, and last but not least, my husband is a custom home builder and we were in the "Parade of Homes" for 2 1/2 weeks in August. It was a little crazy and I am TIRED!
