I've got the list in hand Judy and have two of the cards ready to go out in the morning mail. I've got to get those overseas cards out early. God only knows how long it will take to get them there. The rest will be out by the end of the week.

I sent some cards out to Australia and New Zealand last week Tuesday and they have arrived, so at this stage, I'd say about a week. I mailed my two internationals today as well.

Under normal circumstances a card will take about 3-8 days to get here. It depends a little on where in the USA you post them.
The differences are astonishing. It takes longer from NJ than from CA ... despite the fact that it is nearer....

Let's see how close to the New Year mine gets there! At times, it seems we're still on the Pony Express.

I sent UK and Germany out today. Being from NJ I was afraid they will take a long long long time.
Working on the rest to mail this week.

All of my cards went in the mail this morning! Hope they get to you all quickly and safely!

By the way, Grace, the pony express is quicker than the drumms they seem to use here at times wink

I was told at the Scottsdale PO yesterday it would take 2-3 weeks for my cards to reach England and Germany.

Traveling in the same way as that cat that made the trip from Appleton to Nancy, France in a cargo container, no doubt.

Got Fran's cards today (I got two). Thanks for both! I love the coordination with the stamps and cards...very cool! I want to get some of those custom stamps, but I'm happy with regular ones for half the price. smile

Though, unfortunately, the PO doesn't have my favourite "Music Makers" stamps this year...they're the most colourful ones they've had for Christmas.

JoAnn, your card arrived today. Thank you! My first! Worked on mine tonight.

My grandson enjoys these almost as much as me. Last year, he went through my lighthouse Christmas cards over and over.

Jen, thanks again for getting this together this year. smile

This is a wonderful idea! Thank you Jen for organising this... Today we received two cards.
Bert & Sharon's lovely photograph will be a great addition to my special "Lighthouse Christmas Card" collection!
And Fran and Rich sent us the "Lighthouse Stamp Collector's Dream" !!!
Sorry all, but we were that chuffed with this letter, I need to show off why:

If that isn't the perfect thing to get on a Christmas Card Envelope, I don't know what is! Thank you so much Fran! smile
Did you have those stamps made specially?
By the way, both letters took no time at all to get here!
So maybe John, the post office was just covering their back when they told you how long it takes and used the worst-case-scenario

Got my first three (!!!) Christmas Cards this morning - what a wonderful day :-) Thanks to Jen, MtnHkr and Fran. Jen, what a spectacular photograph! Fran, I couldn´t believe it, when I saw the stamps, but now I know how you did it - thanks to all of you.

I feel like a 5 year old getting mail. I got JoAnn's and Joe and Stephanie's card. I love this and can't believe more people didn't sign up to do this. laugh Great cards guys. With the stamps you can put a picture of your grandchild or dog on it. Have a Wedding or special invite think of the possiblities. cool

I got JoAnn's today also! The remainder of mine are going out on Monday. Just a hint for you guys - if you chop off the bottom inch of the card I send you with the text, the card becomes a 4x6 image suitable for a matte and frame. I signed each one on the image itself. Enjoy!

Fran, I got your incredible card today - not only is it a beautiful photo, but I cannot believe the stamps. I had lunch with my China group today and they also were very impressed by your stamps. Of course the first thing I thought of was getting my dog's picture on there! You are very creative.

Got cards from Stephanie and JoAnn today. Both great cards! I'm adding them to my box of cards right now.

Grace...by my calculations, with 22 days left until Christmas, and 50 more posts needed, you need to make 2.27 posts a day. By the rate you're going now, I think you'll make it!

I've still got to get my cards made and printed. Hopefully some time this week. Now it looks like I don't need to rush the Euro cards, so I'll send everything at once. Of course, now watch mine come after Christmas.

All my domestic Crispmas cards went out yesterday. And I added a few CF old-timer Scrooges to the list (they didn't participate in the exchange, but I'm making them feel guilty by sending them a card anyway.)

Cards from Stephanie and JoAnn arrived today! Thank you so much!

We are collecting all the Lighthouse cards fixed on the door of our living room this year during Advent / Christmas.

After the holiday season they go into a folder and I will put my Lighthouse Christmas Card collection on our website some time during 2006 ... looking forward to that .. the cards are so brilliant!

Thank you all!

I've been complaining about no snow for Christmas but it is really a beautiful day here in sunny Houston. As I am sitting here reviewing the posts, I can look out over my backyard at the doves in the birdbath and the squirrels burying and digging up whatever they are burying and digging up today. My daughter reminded me that we had snow on Christmas Eve last year - actually enough to cover everything for a few hours!! A very rare sight, indeed. Didn't get any cards today. frown Of course, I haven't sent mine out yet!

I didnt get any cards either but I think its because i have 1/4 inch of snow in front of the mail box and he didn't want to hurt his little truck mad They don't leave that truck for anything. Grace I would love to give you my snow. I don't get as much as the northerners. Thank God smile

Well guess what guys and gals? I just dragged out the stash of Christmas cards that I bought last year for future years...and found that I bought a box of lighthouse cards, most likely so that I could have participated in this exchange! I'll save them for next year. So if we do this again, will someone please remind me that I have cards?!!!

I've received 5 cards so far...John Chidester, Fran & Rich Dollinger, Stan & Margret Butcher, Jo Ann Dawley and Stephanie Dingler. Thanks to all of you for the great cards! smile (Fran, your stamp is cool!)

I'm working printing envelopes for my cards now. I'm planning to get the overseas cards mailed tomorrow and the rest by Wednesday. Well, I couldn't make up my mind and ended up having 4 different cards printed. A few of the photos may look familiar to some of you.

I received cards from Fran and Stan & Margret, both really nice. I like that on Fran's the stamp matched the lighthouse picture on the card. And the card from Margret, with the extra bonus inside!

I wish I were as clever to make my own, mine are "store bought", but I thought they were neat. I really liked the inside message:)

The blanks I got at Barnes & Noble. They have several designs - some more plain than the one I used. But they don't have non-Holiday ones.

The 'text' on the card (Don't give it away yet, please) is easy to overlook because you 'see' what you expect to see. I had to point it out to nearly everyone I showed it to before they 'saw' it.
