With the 2006 Christmas Card Exchange getting off to a great start, I was wondering just how different people will display all those wonderful cards for family and friends to see.

Tell us how you plan to display not only the Lighthouse cards but other christmas cards as well. Will you mix all your cards together or will you display your Lighthouse cards seperatly?

For a good number of years now, we have been displaying our Christmas cards on the back of our front door. That way when you leave the house, you can't help but see them. We get lots of comments about all the lighthouse Christmas cards and the non-lighthouse Christmas cards are mixed in. Usually more lighthouse cards than not. We use to display them on the wall above the fireplace mantel, but after we painted several years ago, we decided no more and moved them to the door.

After Christmas, the cards come down and go in a shoebox until the following year. Those that are not photographs of lights, I use for workshops with the kids and we make puzzles out of them. So if you don't know what to do with those cards after Christmas, you can always send them my way.

We display the lighthouse cards on the back of our living room door.

All others are on "washing lines" all through the downstairs part of the house.

But the lighthouse cards have pride of place!

Some day I will get enough time to make a display for our website with all the lovely lighthouse cards we received. But don't hold your breath.

I am keeping other Christmas cards seperate from the forum cards.
We have a loft that is supported by a large wooden beam. I hang the cards from the bottom of the beam. The entrance area side of the beam is displaying the other cards and the kitchen side of the beam is displaying the forum cards. That way while I am cooking or whatever...I can see all the beautiful lighthouse cards. Helps with the stress level!!!!!
