I've got a bunch of new cards bought just for future Round Robin use.

Anyone want to start a new one? If I get 10 people to sign up here, I'll start it off.

With a Round Robin, the package gets passed from one person to another. It contains 10 different lighthouse cards. When you get the package, you choose any cards you want to keep from those in the package and insert an equal number of NEW cards to replace the ones you took.

IT might be fun to keep track here on which cards started out in the Round Robin and which ones it ended up with after making the circuit.

So I'm #1 on this list. Any others? Newbies and first-timers are most welcome.

Sure, I have plenty of extras and don't mind jumping into another robin. Count me in, and that will #5.

John I can't say that I have any NEW CARDS but I do have lots of extra cards. As I allways buy extra just for the Round Robins. So sign me up as #9. And maybe I'll have one or two that somebody needs!

Looks like a wrap to me. If John doesn't have your mailing address, please send it to him so he can get the robin out of its nest . . . . .

Sanddollar - if you are Charles Bernith, I've got your address and all the others.

Except Judy -- I need your mailing address. Please email it to me and I'll include a set of labels in the package to make it easy to ship on to the next person.

Shortcake -- I've got your address in Mobile, but I think you're in FL. SO I need yours, too.

John

Thanks, Judy...

It's packaged up and ready to go in tomorrow's mail. It's in a stiff resuable mailer. Open it carefully and you'll be able to resend the package in it. It takes $1.29 for first class postage.

There's a sheet of labels with two columns of identical labels -- one side to be used as your return address label and the other as the address for the next person on the list.

The order for mailing is:

Shirin Pagels
Joyce Holland
Dave Hannum
Randy Kremer
Stephanie Dingler
Tammy Wolfe
Lorie Roe
Charles Bernth
Judy Castleberry
John Chidester

I put Charles down the list in case that's not the right Charles. And I recalled that Shortcake is getting her mail through Mobile in the past.

The package is starting off with 10 cards, 8 from Oregon and the west coast + a couple from the outer banks.

Let's set a record on how fast we can send this 'robin' out and on!!

Enjoy, enjoy...

Received cards from Shirin today, removed and replaced 5, and went right down to the post office and sent it on it's way to Dave. I want to help break a record on timing.

5 days to get to Randy???????????? Geez, that's a whole 200 or so miles. A mule on it's death bed could do better than that. Great job, USPS.

Received my mail package today! And man was it FULL! eek

One Round Robin, one PCE#19, two Christmas Cards, three PCE#18 , a nice letter from John Gaskill, and one PCE#14. And we won't talk about all the bills that wore in it too! laugh

The Robin has been plucked and re-feathered and is now ready to fly out again with the morning mail. Headed your way Tammy!

OK, the robin has returned to roost in AZ. I have sent a note to those who participated this time around. We will get this one back on the road in a week or so. If there is someone (or maybe a couple) who would like to participate, please post a note here to let me know.

I have also added Jen Selwa who indicated an interest in joining. So, that makes 3 new players - no more unless one of the current folks do not wish to continue.

Dave, please remove me from this robin so that members who have not participated can have a chance to add some great cards to their collection. There is no need for me to be in all of the currently active robins. Time to share with others who want to get in on the fun! smile

It is time to start RR8, Round 2! I will be putting an envelope full of cards into the hands of the USPS tomorrow. Hopefully they will quickly make their way east. Here is the sequence we will follow:

Charles Bernth
Jenifer Selwa
Darlene Cook
Bob Scroope
Eileen Dunlap
Lorie Roe
Randy Kremer
George B Hood
Joyce Holland
Tammy Wolfe
Stephanie Dingler
Dave Hannum

Please be sure to post a note here when you receive the envelope containing the robin, and when you put it into the mail. Try to get it back on its' way within 2-3 days or let me know vis email.

19 days to go like 600 miles - got to love the USPS when they perform so well. I didn't realize they were hand walking it all the way to the east coast. Nice that it finally appeared - I was about to put together a new set of cards of restart the blasted thing!

I'm sure there have been cutbacks at the USPS. Our local PO is now closed between 11a and Noon each day. When our last mailman retired his route was added onto the other routes. One thing I wonder is how much longer we'll have Saturday deliveries.

Jen's a little *GULP* guilty of being slow. I was in California when it came and it was on my counter when I came home on 2/24. I've been so tied up the last several days it completely slipped my mind. It will be in the mail tomorrow. So Sorry! frown

I am going to make a modification to this robin so that it can speed its way to the end - I am going to start a second set of cards in the mail to Randy tomorrow. Lorie will forward the robin she receives to me.

Please see this thread to learn a little more about what we are doing.

Today I received the robin from Joyce. There were a few very interesting cards in the bunch. I don't think I have any of them. So, I kept them all. Thanks!

I replaced with 10 from 10 different states. (Most of my extras are larger sized postcards.) Wish I could say that I have seen all of these lights...

Stephanie, I will put the robin in the mail to you tomorrow. I hope you like the cards.

I received the RR from Eileen today. I'll look through the cards tonight and have it back in the mail tomorrow to Dave.

This will about wrap up this 1/2 of the RR. I'll be ready for the start-up of the new and improved RR's. laugh

Receive the first part of the robin back today. Great cards in there, some really neat views! Thanks to all who contributed to the stack!

As soon as I get back the second half, I will divide up those who have signed up for robins into three robins for the cycle to start over.
