Is there supposed to be a month off between the exchanges? Can't remember. I'd be willing to coordinate the next one but don't do the label thing.

Sue,

As I shared last year in my Suggested Guidelines , I feel that there needs to be a break in the cycles. Both exchanges now underway have a number of folks who still need to get cards sent (and today was to be the last day for PCE 15). Several people have posted that they still need to find cards.

With all this in mind, I would suggest a start date of 6/1 and an end date of 10/31 for the next two exchanges. By the numbering scheme, 17 would be an out-of-envelope exchange. Signups could happen mid/late May to mid June?

Before we get to 17, we should probably have a PCE 16 (in envelope) one started. He or she who starts the exchange is responsible for collecting and distributing addresses or lining up a volunteer.

I could have looked up the guidelines but was too lazy as I knew you'd jump right in and answer the question Dave. smile

Timing sounds good to me.

Shirin, I only do the no envelope variety so I'll take 17, 16 would be the in envelope.

I like the in envelope exchanges the best anyway so we've got an ideal situation here. When do we start signing people up?

Sue,
Let me know when you are ready for PCE 17; it gives me an excuse to play around with my scanner and create a "new postcard"

Start a thread ( or this one) with an "official" (like in the past, official as that is, LOL) sign-up listing, otherwise you will get a lot of wannabe's who may or may not be included. I want to be included too, but would like to see listing recorded, rather than state I want to be in it.

Hello,
I have been waiting to hear about another Post card exchange. I would like to be included in both #16 (in envelope) and #17 (no envelope)
I missed out on #14.

I have received about 8 cards these past two weeks for PE #15. It is so much fun receiving them.

Please remember me in case I don't get back in time to sign up.

Please wait for the current, on-going exchanges to finish before starting a new one. There are still folks who need to complete PCE 15, and 14 does not officially end until 5/15. I would suggest late May or early June for exchanges to run July 1 - October 31.

With that said, I am going to close this thread. Watch for the "official" notices to appear for folks to sign up to participate.

Dave
