OK fans, here is the newest round of post card exchanges. This exchange will be limited to 25 players plus the Youngers (HL) plus Connie Small. That means you will need a total of 27 cards if you want to keep one for yourself. Cards are to be mailed inside an envelope so that they remain "pristine". Feel free to include other goodies, pictures, and especially a write up about the light you chose and perhaps why it is special to you.

For other general guidelines or information about the exchanges, you can see this thread .

If you have not participated in an exchange with me, or if you have a new address please email me with your screen name as well as your good old snail mail address.

Several folks have indicated they are going to be traveling, but wanted to be included in this exchange. Thus, we have the following participants:

2. Joanie O
3. Linda Ann
4. Larry

The next person will be participant #5.

Dave

Not signing up but just wondering why the title of this thread is "No Envelope" when the instructions state the cards are to be mailed in an envelope?

Huh???

Dave(1) It was a very longggg weekend
(2) I was trying to do several things at once
(3) It was late
(4) I goofed?

It really is IN envelope. Unfortuunately, the one thing we can't edit is the thread title.

Gee, I'm not sure - we have to maintain some standards and you don't stay home to read the cards you do get...

Pretty Please, may I play? I will promise to get them all mailed out on time. Derith

Boy, we are really dragging them out of the lurkers gallery! I bet I know what postcards Paul will be using!

This completes the signup for PCE 12. After I get everyone's address I will mail out a listing for all.

Ok, I took advantage of the postal savings (guess I'll invest the difference in some WorldComm or Enron stock!) and sent my cards on Saturday. But, they are still not actually arriving till after July 1.

Hope they are ok.

I got a card already.

It's from Eileen & Dave Dunlap. they not only took advantage of mailing before the increaes- they must have cleaned out all their old stamps- the envelope has a $.02,.10 and a .22 stamp on it.

The card is a nice view of Point lookout Lighthouse, MD. It came with a nice little history of the area and the Park.

Received 3 envelopes today.
Thanks to Paul Brady (so do you get a discount for your own postcard photography!!), Cape Elizabeth from Linda Manning, and the Truro lighthouse (oops mean Fire Island, but since I just saw MIBII, I get those two confused. Hee hee!!! So, is there room enough for a post office in the keepers quarters?) from Sanddollar. Also thanks for the Nubble light goodie!!
Boy, I do so like these exchanges. Always such fun and you never know what is included when it is in envelope.
Thanks for making what was pretty much a hum drum Monday truly fun and exciting!!

The Hoosier Lighthousing Club produced two postcards for the Old Michigan City lighthouse to sell. The Club is also selling them when we go to events, I paid full price for the cards to help the lighthouse, so the postcard exchange just helped the Old Michigan City lighthouse.

I got Linda's card yesterday and Paul's today.

Liked both of them, unfortunately I've only seen Cape Elizabeth in person and I wasn't a Lighthouse nut then.

I might get back there later this month.

Checked my mail box for the first time in over a week today, and found two cards! One from Eileen and Dave Dunlap and one from Linda Manning (thanks for the book mark, Linda!)

Mine will be out in the mail sometime this week.

I received Shirin's postcard of East Point Lighthouse today. What a coincidence - we will be at the Jersey shore next week and plan on visiting that lighthouse on July 21 when it will be open.

Thanks for the great postcard, Shirin!

Hi Mr H.,

I'm interested in getting in on future lighthouse postcard exchanges. What's the number of participants in each exchange .... 25?

Seems like there's a lot of interest in this ... they sign up fast. Any thought of increaing the number of participants in each exchange?

When the cards are distributed, are they stuffed into envelopes or are they mailed as a postcard??

When will the notice for the next exchange be posted?

Also .... where did the relocated Manhatten Range lights in Toledo, O. come from? Please don't tell me MANHATTEN.

Don't Work too hard,

Loafin' Dan (aka Elmer)

I got Shirin's card yesterday, also.

The Brochure for this year's Lighthouse challenge is the best one yet.

I'm hoping to be at one of the Lighthouses at least one day that weekend.

It's a great event if you like lighthouses. It's a way to get into some lighthouses that are not open often (Like East Point, Finn's Point, Tinicum Rear Range, Sea Girt)

Try it you'll like it.

Dennis

Thank you Shirin.

Stephanie's card came in the mail today. Thanks for the extra info. I loved the picture that you enclosed of the lighthouse. It sounds like the four hour drive is well worth it! The Texas stamp was a wonderful touch. I've been admiring those but didn't want to buy the whole sheet. Thanks! Terry

I got Stephanie's package in the mail today.

Any more and it would have been no longer Post Card in envelope Exchange. your picture was great. I liked it better than the postcard shot also.

I'd say you earn the title Wacko offline also. Just a short trip.

Thanks for the NJ stamp.
