Continued from this earlier thread . The last post in that thread was from Dennis saying: Lorie,
I also got your card yesterday.
That's one I'll probably never get to see in person- thanks for the card of it.

Lorie- I spoke to my Mom last night and she said she received a postcard from my Aunt in California who just got back from a cruise to Alaska. And on the back she wrote "I bet this is one lighthouse Carol will never see". Well, she was wrong, because that very afternoon I had received your card. The same exact card!! What a coincidence. Was that card the only one available on the ship? Maybe you were on the same cruise. Wouldn't that be funny?

Hi Carol, The card I sent out I bought in Haines, Alaska. Not too many cruise ships stop there. Haines has the largest bald eagle preserve in North America. This is where I also saw the baby grizzly bear cubs running along the water front. I would guess your aunt could have bought the same card in Skagway since it is close to Eldred Rock as well. I was on the Norwegian Sky July 28-August 4. I didn't see any lighthouse postcards for sale on the ship. Thanks for the last 2 cards from Chris G. and Suzanne.

My cards will be in the mail today. With vacations and work I have been extremely busy so I have not been able to post much over the summer. All of the cards received have been great. TD

Received it today Tom and Joyce! Guess I'll have to go see that light some day as I've received a card of it in each of the 4 exchanges I've participated in, each one different. Yours is a lovely card. Thanks.

I got the cards while I was on the Delaware Bay Lighthouse Cruise.
I got four packs so I could send them all out-there are 7 different cards. There is one that shows East Point and 3 other no longer existing Lighthouses that I used to make up the number needed for the exchange.

I think the PCE's have kind of slowed down since the round robins were started. I show that I'm missing 6 from this exchange but we still have until the end of Nov.

The Round Robins appear to be going great and may "take the wind out of the sails" of the original post card exchanges (PCE), but I'd like to ask that all participants in the PCE's be considerate enough to fulfill their obligations just as the members who mailed early in the PCE's did. Cards being missing at this point can be for a multitude of valid reasons.

Finally got my cards in the mail the end of last week. I can't even blame the round robins which I haven't participated in. But I saw that I'm not the last for this exchange, there are four more participants who are later than me. When I pulled this thread up I saw Ron's messgae about a new address. Hopefully my card will be forwarded. Donna

My cards for this exchange were sent out this morning. I wrote them out while watching the WVU vs Virginia Tech last night so there may be a little excitement evident in my handwriting...although I did try to write neatly. A real nail biter that game was down to the end...and of course I am elated with the outcome. As usual, I have included a trivia question and will post the answer here after about a week if no one posts it first. I will add that I really enjoy receiving the cards and reading about your personal experiences. I hope we continue to do these types of postcard exchanges. John

Doc John, I received your card today, thanks! When Linda and I were in Maine last spring I saw that card plus a number of others of that type. I thought they were really neat and wanted to get some for an exchange. But none of them were available in the quantities needed. Probably it was too early in the season. I'll let someone else answer the trivia question (since I got it wrong last time, lol!)

Ron, I hope the addresses weren't too hard to read. Scanned them but when I went to E-mail the file was huge! Played around with reducing size. We don't mind receiving cards a bit late as long as they are sent.
Just saw Lori & Sue's earlier posts. Checked my list and I am missing the same two members' cards. I don't get it, doesn't receiving 20 or so postcards in the mail with PCE #13 jog your memory that if you are receiving them then you are on that list to be sending them?!
Inquiring minds want to know. Obviously sometimes people misplace their lists (like when they are moving). But if they ask they'll get plenty of help in replacing the list.
Looking forward to your card Ron. Happy New Year!
