Has anybody in the WACKO NATION had any dealings on e-bay w/Wacky Willy's in Oregon?
I won 2 auctions in Sept., paid for the items immediately as I was leaving for Maine and have not yet recieved them.
I e-mailed my concern 2 wks. ago and recieved a reply of re-locating and items were supposed to be shipped. Still have not gotten them.
E-mailed again and was told it would be corrected immediately.
What can I expect? Have I been ripped off? If so what options might I have?
I hope WACKO KARMA can get some satisfaction! confused confused confused

Rick,

Wacky Willy is (or was) in the process of moving. I have purchased numerous pieces from him/them in the past, and never a problem whatsoever.

However, my last purchase was made just as he started to move, and I was asked to please be patient. His packing and shipments always arrived in perfect condition.

Keep the faith. He/they have never been a problem for me in the past.

I also bought 3 Artist Proofs from him and came in perfect shape. He did take a few days longer than most sellers. Again I delt with him towards the begining of his sales and before he moved.

Daniel,

Could it be that we might have been bidding against other? I hope not. If we were, I'm sorry.

We sure were. Half of the AP's you got was at my high bid. The same with Shortcake. If we would have work something out and took turns on bids we would have paid probably $30 instead of $120 to $200 an Artist Proof.
That’s okay we still got some bargains.

Maybe we need to give eachother our Ebay screen names so that we won't outbid eachother! Keep em in the family so to speek. Then we can work it out between who bids if we see something we want that another is bidding on? just a thought. confused

I too recently bought a piece from WW. He did not respond to any e-mails about shipment, but cashed the check within 4 days after I mailed it. I used the E-Bay complaint system after almost a month then went on vacation for a week. The piece was in the stack of mail when I got back and I had an e-mail from E-Bay with the moving apology wink . It was double boxed in fine condition with an apology included. Being a trusting person, I'll try to be accepting.

Great idea Shortcake. Mine is Mtnhkr1938.

I will keep a list of those that I n=know of from the forums and will stay out of the bidding unless I contact others on here and find out just how much they NEED< WANT the item. Makes good sense to me. There are some that I already know who they are but will allow them to give there ebay account if they wish.

Rick,

Just click on Edit -- which is the notepad with a pencil icon on the top of the one you want to delete. When it comes back to you, just check DELETE box and and click Edit. It will be gone. I learned the hard way too.

WACKOS....HELP...I've still not received my items from WackyWilly!!!
Now he is not even responding to my e-mails.
I've tried to log on to EBays Square Trade Dispute Resolution but it won't take my ID.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Rick,

I sent E-mail to Wacky Willy's the middle of last week asking why you failed to receive your order. No response here either. I'll try again this evening. Hang in there. I purchased from them before and no problem. Something is definitely WRONG.

Rick,
Sorry to hear about your Ebay experience. I only used it once for a poster which came very late and pretty damaged. After that experience I have been reluctant to buy something as nice as Harbour Lights although I hear from the Forum that many use it. Sure hope you hear something soon.

Rick,

Don't give up on WW. At least I wouldn't. Tried to call them this evening several times -- NO ANSWER. Maybe Tuesday is their day off?

I don't believe that moving locations can be a legitimate answer anymore. Dang, it only takes a day for a new President to move into the White House.

No response to my E-mail either. But I'll keep trying.

Rick:

I bought two Canadian with rod pieces from WW's and my impressions are the following:
* quite slow in responding to E-mails
* one piece arrived 7 days after payment and the other after 8 days ..... according to my records this is about average or slightly above average with respect to delay in receipt.
* the first piece came with the lightning rod mangled as there was no attempt made to protect it. I E-mailed WW about this and offered a suggestion how the rod could be protected during shipping. They did acknowledge my E-mail and said they would incorporate the rod protection scheme into their future shipments. Saying and doing are different though. The second piece I bought again came through with the lightning rod mangled!! Never did get an acknowledgement of my complaint E-mail after receipt of the end piece. They never did give me any feedback for the 2nd purchase either. I don't really know if I'd buy anything from them again. confused

Just got some mail from Wacky Willys. Apparently they just completed their move today. Drop them another line. Can't hurt!

The saga of Kory63 vs. WackyWilly is now over!! laugh
I had recieved 1 of my purchases,Hecetea Head, shortly after my last post. Sorry for not updating that info here!!! frown
Today I recieved,w/o any prior notification, my 2nd purchase, Admiralty Head. laugh
It arrived as described but as I've said w/o any explanation or apology.
It was an unexpected pre-Christmas surprise.
A, as an obnoxious car dealer here in upstate NY would say, HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGEA THANK YOU to all the WACKOS out there who encouraged me to hang in and to those who actively spoke up to WW in my support. This kind of support is what makes these Forums and the WACKO NATION so great.
Thanks again and a MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!! wink
