HL's first 110 lights including ch1, Coquille, Burrows Island, OR and Split Rock, MI.

If you have $10,000 to spare, it can be yours.

I sure wouldn't have a problem displaying them if I bought them. I'd be outside in the great outdoors if I spent $10,000. My wife would kick me out of the house.

This sure would be a nice investment. But way out of my reach.

Same broker handling this sale as the one I bought my 101 pieces from in April, 2003. Luckily we were able to pick up the collection and saved shipping costs. 95% of those I bought were numbered 12 to 19, but very few pieces were in HL boxes. Interesting to see what this one sells for.

It does have the "Buy it now" feature for $14,000 if you want to scoop them up all at once without getting into a bidding war.

That lot of HL's would be a steal for $10,000. There are some extremely rare and valuable pieces in the lot. On the other hand, there are some basic run-of-the-mill HL's in there to. Then comes the pieces that are missing boxes.

I will be surprised if the auction gets a bid. Not too many of my fellow collectors have an extra 10K burning a hole in their pockets.

I just purchased my Lotto tickets.... if I'm lucky... those babies are MINE !!!!

That would be the only way I'd get em.

No bids so far...but I'm watching. I will wait to post my bid at the last minute...NOT!!

There are also two separate auctions of a 102 going on right now. The starting bid for one of them is $600, and the other one is now over $200.

Watching all...just out of curiosity.

What I found interesting is the SIGNED Hatteras 102 Original (Forgot the acronym for this shocked ). Now I'm not that knowlegable about HLs, but isn't one of those pretty valuable?

When you think of that perspective, and throw some EXTREMELY low numbers (lots of double digits, like a #12 Toledo! eek ) then it's almost like you get those "lesser" pieces for free. I think there are 20 DDs or something like that. No matter a greater or lesser light, getting that number of pieces would possibly total above the $10,000.

Still...$10000... eek

The two HL 102s are the Mold II replicas, not the Mold I or which only 266 to 269 were produced. The balance of the 5,500 run was using the Mold II which has a fatter tower and isn't nearly as pretty as the Mold I. From what I've seen, the Mold II sculptures sell in the hundreds; the Mold I sculptures sell for thousands. smile
