Just came across this one on eBay. No reserve and current high bid is only $77.76! Obviously the sell doesn't know much about HLs (notice the signature year stated as "1971") or the value of the piece. Here's your chance for the HL bargain of a lifetime.

Welcome to the forums, Tim. I hope you'll be sharing more info with us in the future.

The New Point Loma you speak of is definitely going to be a bargain for somebody. I would think the final bid may be in around $300-$350, and that my friend, is an excellent deal for a NPL.

Current bid on this no reserve auction is at only $204.50 with less than 21 hours left. Will this piece really go for this increadibly low price or are the snipers just waiting for the final minutes?

Hi Tim,... There will probably be a last minute flurry of bids on the NPL. I don't think that piece will be bought for such a low price.

With 4 hours to go, it's at $227.50
I would think it will go alot higher.

I took it as high as I could afford and a little beyound. But it wasn't enough. $356 was a good buy for someone.

My estimate of what it would sell for was fairly close. I will say it again, someone got an excellent deal on a true HL treasure. The economy isn't what it use to be and there are many deals to be found on collectibles. A year ago that NPL would have brought around $500. Now is a good time to be buying, and not selling.

I agree with Bob. If you have some extra cash lying around and can afford it, despite the current economical hard times, there are some great bargins out there.

However if you have to sell your extras or your collection to put food on the table and to support the family, well...that's another story. I sure hope and pray that no one is in this situation, especially around the Holidays.

Happy Holidays!
Christopher

I Know what you are saying Dale. I placed a bid that came within $6.00 of the auction price. Unfortunately, I was out of the house when it sold. No telling how much higher it would have gone for if I was online at the time and bidding. Some you win, some you lose!

If you think $356 for a NPL is a bargain then how about the one that went for only $295 on ebay back on December 8th?

I purchased one at $375 a few weeks ago and felt that was a good deal at the time. I still do, as the reaction of my wife when she opens it on Christmas day will be priceless.
