Wow! Are things starting to turn around? The market has always fared well for the 5,500s. When I see lighthouses made in 1995 and beyond selling this well I will hop on the "things are starting to turn around" bus. There have been lighthouses more rare than any of those made since 95 that have done nothing. Why? Because Harbour Lights are now being collected as familiar vacation memories instead of valued collectibles, and before somebody says it for about the 10,000th time, buy what you like! But supply & demand rebounds quickly on the low issues (mathematically twice as fast - duh!) so when the glut(tic) of the few available go, there's not another 4500 sitting somewhere. It did enable a few of us to jump in and add some of the "normal untouchables", but as Sean said it wasn't that much of a risk on the pre-95s. As collectors it nice to see the rebound but only our heirs will know for sure since we aren't going to sell any! [This message has been edited by rscroope (edited 06-25-2002).]
