Has anyone noticed in the commercials for this movie that the actual 'time machine' looks very much like a modified 'fresnel lens'?

It's so funny...I can't even help it, but every time I hear "fresnel lens" I get flashbacks of my physics courses in college and have to cringe a little...you know, in the pre-lighthouse wacko days. ------------------ KRISTIN ERIN SCROOPE kristin@scroope.net http://www.scroope.net/lighthouses/lhlist.htm http://www.LILighthouseSociety.org

In the "Making of The Time Machine" feature, either the director or producer explains why they used the Fresnel lens for the main design of their machine... I didn't see the whole feature but they did devote a portion of it to the construction of the Time Machine for the film...
