Please don't get too excited. An Edgertown closed just after this one with a top bid of $57.66. Only three bid on this one. It just looks like a number of new collectors got caught up in the bidding on the first one !!!!

eBay will only have that completed auction result (linked above) available for 30 days after the close. For posterity, the price on the Edgartown in the lead posting in this thread was $127.50.

I agree with Gay; don't get too excited over this one isolated event. As I have said elsewhere, download the Market Watch spreadsheet and look at the graph for Edgartown to get an idea of what it's worth. Every picture tells a story, don't it? You'll see that rscroope's $45 Edgartown still looks like a reasonably good deal, even under this reality check.
