Hi Larry, ...I think I asked a similar question once and was told that HL kept the first ten and the last one. If a piece meets its edition size, it's easy to do, but not so easy if a piece is retired early. I'm sure someone out there can give us the facts on this matter. Bob

Nancy claims the final one in the run as hers.
#1-10 are the "Grandkids' inheritance" Bill once called them.
And Bill gets the number that corresponds to the year the lighthouse was first lit.
There are a few exceptions - The Reunion Event pieces were distributed starting at #1, much to Bill's consternation (or was he just doing an act?)
