Thanks Mike for posting that.
I have the majority of those ornaments, and also just purchased the new ones...the Fresnel lenses.

Except for this year's editions, most of mine were purchased at cost and a few were gifts, so I really feel good when I'm reminded of the retail prices!

Last year was the first time that I'd put all of these on the tree, and I loved it. So this year I'll do the same...a lighthouse/nautical Christmas tree. I have a few of the lighted Lefton's, and they might go at the base of the tree.

Love those baby sized Fresnels!

I have each and every Christmas ornament HL has ever offered, plus doubles of around 18-20. You can find some great buys on ornies on eBay but the shipping usually spoils the discounted price.

You got that right!

I just won an ornament on ebay yesterday. I thought I was getting a steal. Winning bid was $2.99, the ad said buyer to pay actual shipping & handling cost. Well, that turned out to be $4.50. mad

$7.49 is still a good deal on a $15.00 idem. But I fell ripped off because the shipping is more then the idem. I truly don't think that the shipping fee is really that much. More like $2.00 I would expect.

Actually, Shortcake, you did very well! You must consider that the dealer cost is approximately half of retail. You got your ornament for half price, and that's a good deal. I must admit it is a shock when the amount you pay for postage meets or exceeds your winning bid.

Just think of the money being made by the US Post Office, UPS, and FedEx on all the eBay purchases shipped every where around the world. Their volume must have increased when eBay appeared on the scene.
