Hello fellow collectors, anyone interested in a once in a lifetime deal should check out E-Bay under the description "harbor lights" and make sure on the spelling. Listed are numerous pieces at .25 and above. So happy shopping and remember to tell everyone, Kaiz sent me!
I think it just may be a "hurricane" clearance sale.

Hi Kaiz -
I just looked at the E-Bay items. Nice paperweights. The sad thing is they are attracting bids. One item is already at $26.00+ with 9 bids and 5 days left on the auction. These bidders must be real 'Wackos' not HL Wackos. People will buy anything.
Makes one wonder - were they this damaged when the pawn shop bought them and what price did the pawn shop pay for them?

I too just looked at these miserable HLs. My first thought was that these pieces must have been stolen and then pawned. Why else would there be no boxes and so much damage! I can just see them being snatched from a display and tossed in a sack. It really turns my stomach to see such lack of care for something that I care so much about.

Could it have been a catastrophic curio collapse?

2 things here,
First of all - Their name says it all EZ- Pawn. Apparently they will loan money on any piece of junk. I wish they had a location near me, I could save the city money on the recycling program and put a few bucks in my pocket at the same time.
Secondly, I wonder if Hilary actually hit Bill with any of the pieces, or if the secret service was able to smother him in time to protect him

Anyone want to volunteer to email the bidders on these auctions to tell them the horrible condition of these pieces?

Greydawn, that is exactly what I thought.
The poor sailor on the boat in Middle Bay has gone overboard in the storm.

Hey Joanne, I think the little guy jumped when he saw the condition of his beloved little lighthouse. I'm surprised the cow has hung in there, but we all know cows really do not like swimming anyway. Kaiz

Did the folks from EZ-Pawn excavate the landfill were Harbour Lights buries its damaged pieces? Maybe these pieces are from a collection that was owned by a collector who hate ventilator balls. Bob

Perhaps this is what happens to a collection when a mate becomes more devoted to the hobby than the hubby (and vice versa)

You know, Orv, you may be right. I knew an unmarried couple who talked about getting married. At least the bride to be thought she was going to get married. When the wedding was cancelled three weeks before the big day, the bride to be went down to the groom's (not to be) wine cellar and smashed every bottle. Needless to say it wasn't Ripple or Boone's Farm that was stored there. Cheers! Bob

Oh I wish you hadn't told me about "Harbor Lights". They look so pitiful. How in the world did they get like that? And who would bid on them? I agree, some people will just about bid on anything if the price is low enough. Rusty

Hi Rusty, ... I'm not bidding on them but if you had a source that did great repairs cheap, you could get a real bargain. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Bob

Hey bidders, the spare parts of the damaged lights just showed up, along with some new basket cases! Assorted railings and even the missing top to that Old Point Loma glow.

I just checked the site out. That is seriously quite sad to look at.
