Hi folks!
I was just wondering if anyone had ever come across or heard of counterfeit Harbour Lights pieces? Don't worry, I haven't myself.
The reason I ask is because I've seen a lot of HL's for sale on Ebay lately at VERY low prices. Of those, some are being offered with no COA. I'm sure they're probably legit, but it just got me wondering. I even came across two totally different, unrelated HL pieces being sold by the same seller and they both had the exact same number on the flag. Thoughts?

I doubt there are any counterfeit reproductions of HL's, being sold as true HL's. There probably has been times where another manufacturer could have copied the HL design but their reproductions would never match the quality of HL's. Remember the sea horse! Matching flag #'s on different HL's can be common from one seller. Bob

I figured as such, thanks Bob for easing my concern. However, what if someone made a mold using the HL piece?
Also, so I understand correctly, let me clarify my matching flag# question. Your saying that I could order say HL #"A" with an edition size of "x" and order HL #"B" with an edition size of "x" and get #167 in the run for both? (#167 has no significance, just made it up.)

All six of my 2009 HL replicas have number 72. These were bought from my dealer in Portland so same numbers must be common.

Buyers on HL's autoship list receive all limited editions with the same flag number. I'm not sure if that also applied to open editions (GLOWs) when they were producing them, but all LEs were shipped to each autoship buyer with the same flag number.
I believe autoship buyers had to purchase most if not all releases each year to keep their autoship number. I was not an autoship buyer, but purchased a large auction a number of years ago from someone who was on autoship and had been assigned the number 12.
