If you're a dedicated follower of HL's on eBay, you will have notice that several "auction houses", for lack of a better term, have been offering some rare HL's. Apparently, old time collectors, or people who no longer desire to keep their HL collections, have been turning them over to different auction houses for disposal.

I even saw a story on an auction house being operated by UPS. You bring your items to them, they put it on eBay, they collect the money, they pack and ship it, and they only keep 40% of the take. Such a deal!

It's nice to have the opportunity to bid on rare pieces, but in a way I feel bad that the original owners can't reap the profits. Now if they were a connected collector, things would be different.

I would say 90% of the rare collectables for the last two months was from:
Wacky Willys Surplus
He just auctioned off over 200 Harbour lights. Most were Artist proofs.
Not just any artist Proofs.
But Artist proofs of many of the original 17.
And
Artist proofs of Canadians with writings under them saying
• Paint Master
• Prototype
• Paint Proof
• Artist Proof
If they were not an AP a good chance it was a low numbered Canadian or California made.
Willy told me he was selling his sisters collection.

Sounds like you might have purchased a few, Dan. I bid on quite a few of them hoping for a bargain, but didn't score from Wacky Willys. I'm sure there will be more to come from different auction houses in the near future. I'll keep bidding and what will be, will be!
