The NPL on ebay closed at $255.00. I was waiting to see who would snipe it at the last minute and no one did. Could this be the bargain of the year? The mini brought $484.50, which is closer to what I expected. What were some of you market watchers predicting?

The mini is much, much rarer... that's what brought the bigger price...

I paid $450 for my NPL, and I was happy to get it for that price at that time. $255 was a giveaway. I was bidding on it for a while, then dropped off when it reached $250. I'm always looking for a steal of a deal for extras. $250 was all I was willing to go. I thought it might reach $300, but obviously it didn't. Bob

Any time other than now I would have jumped on that. With my wedding/honeymoon coming up in two weeks, I would have been a dead man. I only hope it comes around again. Somebody got a steal of a deal.

The New point Loma Mini has been running in the middle to high 300's on ebay. Not too long ago it has gone as low as the middle $200's on Ebay. It even went for $200 on this forum. It is definitely on a rebound. I believe it is a sleeper and its value will only go up. However, the price on this one was fueled by the fact it was a super low number, Sweet seventeen. I believe if it was a 3-digit number it would have gone for a 100 dollars less.

No dought there's some great deals on e-bay right now. Without sparking the dealer dumping debate, it's a good time to pick up a piece you might not have bought at retail, but can't pass up at 50%-75% off!

I've finally been able to procure a full sized NPL and was able to do it by trading my extra 3 and 3 1/2 fresnel's, even up. Whether anyone agrees, I thought I made out ok. It is from a reunion attendee.

Dave, I think that you done good. You can still pick up the lenses at retail in quite a few store but you sure can't find the NPL at retail anywhere . Rich

You got a good deal in that swap, Dave. The New Point Lomas aren't what I call easy to come by, unless you want to dig deep into your wallet. Bob

YOU GUYS PROBABLY WON'T BELIEVE ME IF I TELL YOU THIS BUT I PURCHASED MY NPL 2 MONTHS AGO IN A SHOP IN A SMALL SOUTHERN INDIANA TOWN OFF THE SHELF FOR $90!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS SEEING. THE STORE ATTENDANT COULDN'T UNLOCK THE CASE FAST ENOUGH. JUST GOES TO SHOW THERE ARE STILL BARGAINS TO BE HAD IF YOU LOOK HARD ENOUGH.
