I can't believe this great lighthouse went for 75.00. I certainly missed this one! Rick

There are some real steals on eBay if you're persistent and pay attention. I wish I was just starting out with HLs. A lot of the pieces are going for a considerable sum less than I paid for my HLs. Bob

Me too Bob I bought most of mine at the peak of Harbour Lights secondary market. However, on the other side there are some that we got bargains on back then that go considerately much more now. Like: Occrocoke (if you can find one) Baldy Currituck Cape Canaveral Jupiter Just to list a few Like Bob said, You got to watch ebay closely and you will find bargins.

Never did I think an opening bid would win such a piece on ebay.... Color me SHOCKED!! and happy too. I just put in the opener to get it started. I figured it would go for around $125. So I'm tickled to see that my bid won it. I'll put it in the curio with pride and place the GLOW I have back in the box. Now if I could only find an ocracoke deal.....

Did the seller have any negative feedback on his or her account? I don't know about you folks but most times I'll avoid bidding on an item being sold by a person with numerous negative feedbacks. Other things that turn me off are the disclaimers of not being responsible for damaged goods, etc. It makes you think like they were going to put a damaged piece in a box and then claim the shipper must have broke it. A simpler phrase of "insurance recommended to protect the value of your purchase" would be more appropriate. Congrats on getting a great deal on the Assateague, Medicman! I wish I could have purchased that piece for that price. Bob

If not mistaken I don't think this piece came with a box. I just purchased a Mold 1 of this LH for $200. The seller that listed it sold it to me for my bid as he had extra's. The one on E-bay sold for considerably more. I asked him why or where he had accumulated the extra's and he said that when word got out (years ago) that the mold had broke he bought as many as he could find. I received the LH and it is perfect with the box and COA's. Also, I check feedback also, but in this case he's had nothing but positives (300+). Dave
