My Legacy arrived today 9/16/00 and it's again packed with goodies from and about our Collector Forum Friends:

[*]Cover photo of Big Sable by Dave Hannum (DaveH)

[*]Photo of the group at Cape Hatteras by our Paul Brady (As well as his photo of the presentation at the Coast Guard Station)

[*]And a very nice full-page story on Paul

[*]Mention of Sue LeFever (Mombo) and photo of her Sister Island selection

[*]Photo of Bill & Fred Kuhlman

[*]Photo of Bill with Carolyn McBee

[*]Mention of the Shinnecock Lighthouse logs from 1880s to 1930s which Bob Muller is spearheading the effort to purchase for the East End Seaport Museum on Long Island.

Oh, yea, a few of my photos of the Atlanta and Rosemont shows and one of Paul.

There is also a very nice full page story on Cullen Chambers "Dedicated to the Cause".

Thanks for the info, John. The clock is running! Lets see how long it takes to get to various areas of the country. I'll let you know when mine arrives in Massachusetts.

Are they all mailed at the same time?

Hi John, Thanks for the advanced information about the Legacy. We actually got a brief glimpse of one when Bill came to a signing in St. Louis this past August. Not enough of a good look to see much. We are looking forward to getting ours but as of today's mail no dice

John I have a question about the post card thread that you started. How has the response been. I don't remember where it was posted so I can't find any other replies Please tell me where to go. Thanks

Your friend,
Carolyn(Double Bidder)McBee

Carolyn - the Post Card Exchange is under "Lighthouse Duty". It reached the limit of 25 and closed out yesterday. You need to read that thread and email Joanne Sinatra your snail mail address.

Too bad "snail mail" can't be eliminated altogether. I've gotten use to virtual instant communication in business and otherwise!! My Legacy will show up in about 3-4 weeks I'll bet!!

Gosh, I hope "snail mail" isn't eliminated altogether!!!!

That "snail mail" job that my spouse has,

Bright Eyes, is that who I think it is? When it shows up in the Northland (MN) the lakes will probably be frozen and we will have 12" of snow.

As of yesterday, mine had not arrived. Perhaps it will be waiting for me when I get back from Atlanta. If I get back. Using AirTran for transportation back and forth to FL and from the news this morning, guess we are fortunate to have made it here.

Legacy arrived in this part of NC today. We thought the photo of Bill talking to little Brittany Davidson spoke volumes all by itself. While there,we had a chance to talk to the Davidsons and found them to be a super nice group,as was everyone we met at Hatteras. The Legacy is great as usual!

The wagons made it to the Piedmont of North Carolina on Saturday, 9/23.

Now, if we could just get the calendar to turnover those days until 10/14 just a little quicker!

Thank goodness I did get in the Lighthouse Depot to hold me over while I wait. Not much new in it to look at... I've got my fingers crossed that it's in today's mail.

The Legacy arrived here in Phoenix, NY today. Congratulations Dave, an excellent photo, also to Paul on the feature article! Nice to see so many Wackos in this issue. Nobody's mentioned the postcard sized promotional card for Rockland Breakwater. I assume everyone gets one? Does anyone do anything special with all these "cards"? I have an HL "catch-all" drawer I toss these and assorted items into. Periodically I venture into it and attempt to put the items into some sort of order.

For those who haven't gotten their copy yet or (gasp) for those who don't belong to the Collectors Society, HL has agreed to put up a feature story from each issue as it is realeased:
www.HarbourLights.com/publications/legacy/

We're starting off with a story from the Summer issue as well as one from the Fall issue now wending it's way to Society members.

While I was in Atlanta over the weekend, my copy of the Legacy made it to Valrico, FL. I am enjoying it. I really liked all of it. All the photos are great. Enjoyed the photo of Brittany Davidson and Bill. He has an appeal to all ages. Now, as Rick says, come on Oct. 14th.

That mule must have stopped off in Orlando before visiting George in Pt. St. Lucie. Got mine yesterday. I almost gave up hope.

This is post #53 so I am starting a new thread.
