Greetings, fellow Collectors! I have transitioned from a casual peruser to a member of the Forum, primarily because I need some help and advice on something I have never done: selling lighthouses. I currently own 155 Harbour Lights pieces, and I must sell a few or get a bigger house.

By way of background, I am a retired Navy pilot, Southwest Airlines Captain, father of five and (so far)grandfather of four. I love all things nautical, and especially enjoy my lighthouses. I look forward to an interesting and informative exchange of ideas with you all!

My advice would be to build a bigger house... but that's up to you. Use the Marketplace here in the Forum to sell a few of your collection.
Out of your 155.. which one is your favorite?
Welcome to the Forum!

Hi TJB and welcome to the Collector Forums!

It is always great to see a "lurker" turn into a "participant".

We look forward to your posts and opinions.

Thanks! For the Medicman, I like Sanibel for the beauty of the workmanship and Pensacola for sheer sentimentality.

Welcome TJB. Always nice to have another member of the fmaily. As a Southwest Pilot, you probably already know one of our regulars, Derith (aka Nana). It wouldn't surprise me if she had stopped by the cockpit to ask if you could fly over a light on the way to one of her many lighthousing adventures!

As Medicman said, the Marketplace is an excellent place to use.

Welcome aboard TJB! We are certainly glad you have made the transition from "casual peruser" to poster. As others have stated, The Marketplace is a good way to sell those extra HLs you have. Another way is via eBay. Many here, including myself, have sold on both The Marketplace and eBay. You mentioned Southwest Airlines - I have a friend who is a pilot for Southwest who is based out of Baltimore. He flew F-15s in the Air Force.

Welcome to the Forums TJB. Hope to meet you in one of our weekly chats. I have flown on Southwest quite often, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, Phoenix, Kansas City, Austin, Baltimore, Raleigh, Midway and Providence. Any chance you might have flown those routes? I have had nothing but good flights with Southwest. My only problems have been super crowded gates! The price of popularity.

Go Southwest!

Welcome aboard. Though I am fairly new, too.
I also am retired NAVY-enlisted. I have worked on the A-3, A-4, A-6, A-7, EA-6B, EA-6A, P-3, F-14, and the F/A-18. Maybe one of yours? Lighthouses around Naval installations seem to be my Favorites as well. Lots of memories!

Thanks to all my newly-found Southwest buddies; I look forward to seeing you on my airplane someday. I'm the guy with the lighthouse tie on! I'l be posting some of my pieces on the forum soon, and I signed up to sell on E-bay yesterday (quite an ordeal, if I must say).

Another WELCOME from another ex-Navy guy! I think we really appreciate the function of light-houses, along with their beauty! I was black-shoe, 1105-Lt(jg) who never set foot on a ship! But thanks to the Navy, I ended up with a great career in computers. Now I work for Lockheed Martin - we install engineer, integrate and install the FAA air traffic control systems that keep you guys from bumping into each other up there.. :-)
