NELL members with Nancy Younger at Cape Cod's Chatham Lighthouse. It was a wonderful weekend which included visits to many of the lighthouses on Cape Cod and our Sat. dinner with guest speaker Tim Harrison (American Lighthouse Foundation / Lighthouse Depot). I have been very busy trying to download images and build an online album for all to enjoy. I hope to have it complete in a couple of days and will post the link here.

What a great picture reminds me of when many Chathamites got together I believe it was New Years day and the local paper took a picture like this one.really makes me a bit homesick.Hope I get back there this summer.

Great picture and wonderful weekend. The weather couldn't have been better. Blue skies the whole weekend. We had a great tour guide that not only told us about lighthouse history, but also included history of Cape Cod. We had the opportunity to visit and climb Chatham, Nauset, 3 Sisters and Highland Light.

Ray and I also had a great time this past weekend. The tour was welled planned (Thanks Penny & Randy). We even had time to sit on the beach between stops. It was great! And the tour guide, Jo Marie, really knew Cape Cod (and she sings, too!). We really learned a lot about the area (from whaling to lighthouses to how much the homes are selling for). But of course the best part was the lighthousing!!! They are beautiful!!

Derith,
I am the third one from the left, front row. Next time you should try to visit New England when we have one of our NELL events.

Someday we will finally meet. Until then...Carol

Nice photos Ron! Looks like you had a fine time and a fine day for lighthousing!

Did you see the woman who lives at Nauset Light? Do you know if there are any plans to restore the lantern rooms on the two "Sisters" of Nauset that don't have them?

Thanks Sue for the compliment on the pictures. I will be adding to the album more pictures from attendees (if they send them to me). I didn't see the woman who lives at Nauset Light (although I do believe some of the woman on the tour would love to live there). I know of no plans to restore the other two lantern rooms on the other two "Sisters" towers.

Looks like you had quite the good time! I ran into your group at the Highland lighthouse. We happened to be on vacation and decided to go to the cape also. Got to see and go inside Highland, Nauset, Three Sisters and Nobska. We had a great time!
