About three months ago we were wondering if we would hit the "800" mark of registered people at the Collector Forums. Now the count on deck is "881" and climbing.

I would say there is a very good possibility that the "900" mark will be reached during the month of February or the begining of March.

Where do you think the new people are coming from? Is there more interest than ever in Harbour Lights and lighthouses?

Heck, here I was 4 months ago making my 1st post and with this post I have now reached the 151st post. Of course I think 10 of those posts were on the 50% off sales, but that was sure some fun.

Back in Dec. I was just checking out the H.L. webpage, looking for a Chathum Ma. when I "stumbled" onto the forums. I saw the photo contest, signed up, and here I am. I have received some helpful e-mails,(Gary Martin, Dave Hannum)-was able to buy my Chathum(Mike Richards) I check in with the forums nearly every night. Long story short, I really enjoy logging in and I have learned much in the short time I've been here. Thanks, everyone!!

I stumbled upon the Forums pretty much the same way Bud did. I came in looking for something on the website, saw the photo contest and joined in. I'm very glad I did, not only did I meet great people who love lights as much as I do, but I've had help planning trips and learned new interesting lighthouse facts.

I joined the Forum in September and met many members on the forum. But I was delighted to meet them face to face at the reunion in Baltimore. Now I feel more "connected."
Haven't posted in awhile. but hope to be more active in the future.

I came looking for dealers and found a whole lot more. I want to thank everyone for teaching me about HL, HL clubs, photography and the lighthouse preservation movement. It's been a lot of fun and I hope to meet you all at the winter regional. I think Houston would be a great place to have it. What ya' think?

I had the same experience. Wanted to find a dealer and found some of the neatest people I have ever had the pleasure to get to know. I am so looking forward to Rosemont! By the way greetings, sorry I am a bit late but welcome to the forums and be sure to chime in at any time. Everyones ideas, opinions, comments, jokes, etc... are welcome.

I don't know if it has anything to do with more people coming to HL or not, but I was wondering that since Lefton is no longer in business, are some of the Lefton collectors are coming HL's way, which would put more in here? Just a guess. Never understood why anyone would collect Lefton over HL anyway.

BTW, on one of the photographic websites, I mentioned to photographers who might be lighthouse photography enthusiasts, that there is now a Lighthouse Photography forum on Harbour Lights, giving them the website address and that they would have to register to participate.
