Hi! We're Rich & Marilyn Kirkpatrick from
California and thought it's about time to
get involved in the forums, especially since
we're going to Baltimore and have signed up
for all of John's tours. We started collecting HLs about 2 years ago and belong
to the So. Cal. Harbour Lights Collector's
Club. Hope to meet you at either the
regional event in Anaheim, CA (4/28) or in
Baltimore!

Welcome, Rich & Marilyn, we will be needing some updates once in a while from the So. Cal. Harbour Lights Collector's Club, since Sean has left for the East coast. Also stop by the Harbour Lights Chat now that the lurking is over, come out all the way!

Another big welcome to Rich and Marilyn. We're all glad to see you've joined in the forums. My husband and I will be attending the Baltimore reunion as well. Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet up.

Hi Rich & Marilyn.
Welcome to the most wonderful group of lighthouse lovers and HL collectors anywhere in the world. I'm glad that you took the plunge from "L&L" to "P&P" and I look forward to meeting you both at the reunion.

Hi, Kirkpatricks! You can tell by my "newbie" tag that I'm a greenhorn here myself, but welcome, anyway. Glad to see somebody from the left coast - my wife and I met in San Diego, and I worked at the (then) Naval Electronics Laboratory out on Point Loma. Naturally, "Old Point Loma" is one of the front-row items in my still very "selective" (read "small") collection.

Thank you all for the warm greetings. This
trip to Baltimore is going to be a real thrill for us because we haven't been on this kind of trip for many, many years. Sean, we
will endeaver to keep you up to date on SCHLCC. DaveVB, Marilyn and I met at SDSU
and enjoyed Old Point Loma many times but
not with the interest that we have now!
Remember when the parking lot was where the
main walkway is today? We are looking
forward to meeting all at the reunion.

Keepin' The Flame, Rich & Marilyn

Now, there's a statement that is open to lots of interpretation! The first date that my wife and I had in SD was to the top of Mt. Soledad!
Yes, I remember the OLD Old Point Loma area -I last saw it in the 70's until a couple of years ago. That whole TOWN has changed big time!

Dave,
Some things change and some stay the same I guess. We met at the Hotel del Coronado and it's one of the few things that's still there. Of course, there's a lot of things we never saw, but we knew where all of the drive-in movies were as well as Oscar's drive-in (food) where carhops took your orders. Now you've got more data to interpret...........
