Here's the latest one off the easel. Autumn at Port Sanilac, what could be better! Thanks for the idea John. So far this poor orphan has no parents, and I thought I would debut it here on the General Forum. It is acrylic on an 18" x 24" canvas. The photos don't do it justice, the colors on the original are truly brilliant and the detailing is excellent. I have been checking into making prints on this one but right now that is not financially possible.

I think that this is truly the most captivating lighthouse painting I've ever seen! I feel as if I'm there with the surf in my ears and the salty spray on my cheeks. Truly a work of art!

This such a beautiful and true-to-life painting Digger. At first I thought it was a photo. I'll bet that this one finds a home before the New Year gets here. Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us. Happy New Year!

Digger, Truly a beautiful painting. You are so talented! You know with your talent and our annual project of the WACKO pin it just might be a wonderful way to raise funds for the chosen lighthouse. How about doing one of this years pick and we could hold an internal auction to help the fund out?
Just a thought.
Thanks for sharing, I love your work.

Digger, Truly wonderful! I hope you can find a way to allow those of us that admire your work to be able to purchase paintings like that above for our homes.

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoy painting them.

Because of several emails I have received I have decided to run a 1 week "mini-auction" starting today (12/29) and ending 1/5/2001 for anyone interested in this painting. I felt this was the fairest way to let forum members obtain this and future paintings. If interested, just email me for details.

Darn, I've already spent my Christmas bonus adding to my curio cabinet so I guess I'll have to pass on this auction. Sure wish I could join. Have to say, I'm really impressed with the piece. What size shovel do you use to paint such work of art??? Spade, Tile, Scoop?
Really Nice Job Digger!!!
