Welcome to the Forums. Let me be one of many to say hello to you. Please post and tell us about your interests in lighthouses and also include a little bit about yourself.

While you are looking over the Forums and becoming familiar with our different topics, I want to tell you about our HL Collector Forums Exclusive that was made for our members by Harbour Lights. It is a replica of the Erie Land Light and is available now. The cost is $50.00 and a member may buy as many of these exclusives as they want. The lighthouse is a limited edition of only 500 pieces. If you are interested, go to the top of the Forums under LIGHTHOUSEKEEPERS where the Exclusive is listed or click on http://www.lighthouse-events.com/forums/ .

Howdy Cyndi,

Thank you for the welcome. I grow up in southern California and we moved to TN in '91. I love the ocean and lighthouses. My first HL was a gift from close friends when we visited them in Maine in 2003. I have bought about 50 and several LL after that visit. We went to Florida in 2005 and I climbed to to top of St Augustine and Ponce de Leon. I am afraid of hieghts and have bad knees. So this was tough to do but my love of the lighthouses out weight the fear and pain. My next visit I'm planning is to the Outer Bank, NC. I work at a bank and my husband is a firefighter. We have 3 children ages 18, 20, and 22. We plan on doing more traveling in the near future.

Welcome aboard Cyndi, nice to have you with us. When I started lighthousing I too, had a fear of heights, but its pretty well conquered by now. If you want to climb you can't fear the height, and as your finding out, its well worth the climb.
