Has anyone purchased the miniature lighthouses by Lenox? I saw a card in last week's TV guide and it said they were $9.95 each. you get 3 every 3 months and you get charged $9.95 a month. There are 24 in the set. In the ad they are called 'miniatures' and on their website, they call them thimbles http://www.lenoxcollections.com/lenoxcol...largeimage=true $247 plus on the website and includes a lighthouse shapped display. The display size is 15" high and 10" wide, but it doesn't say how big the lighthouses are. Just checking if anyone has experience with these?

I had noticed the add before also, and was slightly intreagued. We have collected the annual Lenox china Christmas bulbs since they started in '82, at around $40-45 each. The Lenox china products always seem to hold their value fairly well, and have a medium following of collectors. I doubt they would become popular to the lighthouse collector enthusiasts in any way, but I'm sure the quality would not disappoint. I will probably pass on them though, since there are so many HL products yet to buy.

I haven't seen the ad for the Lenox Lighthouses, but like Rod says there are so many HLs to buy. I probably won't buy any other brand of LHs but HLs. There is only so much money in the expendable cash fund and Harbour Lights manages to eat it all up in a hurry. Besides that I can't even display all the HLs I have now. Bob

I agree with Bob, every dime I have to purchase lighthouses has to go to HL's. Besides, no matter what the cost I haven't found any that have as good a quality as HL's. Rusty

I was given a Lenox lighthouse as a gift, called "Light at Land's End". It stands about 12 inches tall and is about 10 inches around. The detail is very good and makes a very nice display piece. I'm pretty spoiled by Harbour Lights, but I was very pleased with this one.

I purchased 3 shipments (9 total) a year ago. They are very tiny and lack color and detail. I cancelled my order. The display board is poorly made with splintered wood. They claim the display board is free after 3 shipments but the shipping and handling costs are excessive. After owning HL's, there is not much to look at with Lenox.

I have seen the ad several times and have had friends send me copies out of magazines. But, I only have eyes for HL. I think the miniature HL that are coming out will be more to my liking. My dealer will be selling them. Derith
