I was able to stay up and attend the chat last night. It was really nice to talk with many of our CF members. It was also nice to view the photo of an upcoming release for 2007. We are unable to reveal what we saw at this time, but you won't be waiting that much longer. The Legacy is due out real soon.

We were taken into the "Cone of Silence" and swore not to reveal what we saw under penalty of severe paint flaking on our entire HL collection.

Seems a bit strange to me, that the chat room is for forum members, yet what's on it is a secret!
I tried, but was unable to conect to it.
Don't know why, maybe I was missing the secret code that seems to be only availabe to a select few!!! :rolleyes:

Hilari (and others), the chat room is open to any who want to log in during a chat. Don't even have to be a registered forum member. Only potential problem is that the room only allows 25 people in it at once (you know, fire marshall safety rules and all). Didn't have that issue last night. No software to be installed on your system, but if memory serves me, you do have to have something enabled on your terminal. Sorry, too far in the past to recall but maybe someone else may be able to help here.

Having a possible sneak peek at a product has been a time honored tradition in the forums, with the one stipulation being that what is told/shown about a new product has to stay secret until the release is announced publicly. That is why there has been the ritual entering the cone of silence, raise your right hand and take the oath kind of thing. All in fun, but it has continued because the people who were able to attend those chats have honored the stipulations and not let the secret out. I strongly believe that the general public announcement should come from HL and not from someone "leaking" it in the forums. Besides, there usually is only a day or so before the information is officially announced. I think they are working feverishly to get the mini-Legacy on the streets so everyone knows.

And when you see a link in the chat, you need to have turned off any pop-up window blockers, as the chat software pops-up as do any links within chats.

You may have installed several types of pop-up blockers without realizing it. MS Internet Explorer offers one, Google tool bars and some other portals.

Last night was my first time to ever be in a chatroom. It was really nice talking with everyone.
