Since I have been an avid follower of the forums for well over two years, I thought it is finally time I took a deep breath and jumped in. I will be attending the Reunion in October with my wife Rachele and look forward to meeting many of you there.

Hi Bruce, always nice to meet a fellow NYER.
This forum should bring you up to speed just in time for the Reunion. Since you're only a few hours away from me, let me know if your interested in any Long Island events. We have a few people participating from Westchester and Ossining on a regular basis.

Bob, thanks for the info...I'll have to give it some serious thought.

Welcome aboard Bruce. I'm glad that you finally took the plunge from "lurking and looking" (L & L) to "participating and posting" (P & P). MJ and I look forward to meeting you and Rachele in Baltimore this coming October. Until then I look forward to reading your future posts. You've joined a great bunch of people here!!

Hey Bruce - we're glad you're joining in!

How big is your collection? What's your favorite piece?

Welcome aboard,

Thanks...looks like this is going to be fun! As far as my collection goes, I was surprised this evening when I counted what I have...exactly 100 lights. I started collecting back in January of '98 after having seen a 40 piece collection of a friend....I was hooked immediately! I was fortunate to have about five dealers within approximately 25 miles of my home, so within weeks, I was really into it.
Hard for me to say which is a favorite as everytime I take a few moments to admire or study them, each one looks extra special. One light, Esopus Meadows is only about 25 miles north on the Hudson River, and we pass it often while boating near Kingston where we keep our boat. I was delighted when that piece was added to the line. My collection has led to three friends beginning their own, but none is quite as passionate as I am about Harbour Lights.

All I can say Bruce is give them alittle time and I'll bet they catch the bug alittle more.
