As Part 7 has gotten off topic, I've closed that one and begun a new one.

Posts about signatures etc would be best in the Play Room Forum. No offense to anyone.

If you're new to the Collector Forum, this is a great place to make your first post. Let us know who you are, where you're from, and how you found us here at the forum. You'll find the majority of the discussion on the CF is related to the greatest collectible in the world, Harbour Lights. There's also plenty of discussion about the real thing (lighthouses) and various other subjects. Take a look at all the threads. You'll probably find one that suits your interests.

Welcome aboard!

I've noticed the number of registered users of the CF has been increasing. If you are new to the Collector Forum, don't forget to post a reply in this thread and let us know who you are and where you're from.

from Chatham Ma..both living on cape cod
and going to sea for some years I got to
see many light houses. When I found replicas
I started collecting.Now have 254 including

Welcome, Oseabee! My 83 year old Dad was a Sea Bee. Ironically, my sister and her husband just moved to Bradenton but have a Sarasota address. They might be down the street from you They live on 70th Drive East.

Once again, welcome aboard and I will look forward to seeing future posts from you.

WELCOME Oseabee from a fellow Floridian over in Port St. Lucie on the east coast. This site makes owning a computer an working the 'net' all worth it!! Especially if you happen to be nuts over Harbour Lights!!

Welcome to these forums oseabee. As you know by now they are loaded with alot of information on not only Harbour Lights lighthouses but other subjects as well. The best part is the Harbour Lights Family of Collectors who frequent the forums with their personal stories and feelings about lighthouses. I also look forward to seeing you around the forums and to hearing about all of those lighthouses that you have collected (including the non-Harbour Lights ones).

I come over to your side frequently to visit my father in Pinellas Park. Not only am I nuts about HL's, but I'm really into computers as well. It's really great to marry two of my fondest hobbbies. If you visit this site as often as I do, you will become a WACKO in no time. It took me two weeks, but then I was off looking at 'lights' for four days and couldn't post. By the way, I use Pharologst without an "i" as someone already had that on AOL. Seeya on the spiral staircase!!

Welcome oseabee - glad to have you join the ranks of the posters.

Just a note on your posts. Do NOT hit the return key until you reach the end of a paragraph. Just keep on typing and the text will automatically wrap to the next line.

Bob,

Do we still have the rule that every 100th Forum Member has to bring donuts for everyone? (You being an officer of the law and all.)

Hey Dave, that works for me too! Bob... being an officer of the law, I'm sure you know where a few good doughnut places are. (Just kidding!) I'll put my order in for a few Krispy Kreme doughnuts!

Maybe I could bring my night stick and we could fill it with donuts...kind of a "donut-ka-bob". On my job we call them "fat pills". I try not to eat more than 6 donuts a year. In the year 2000, I've already had two. There's probably a good chance I may not reach my quota this year, but don't let that stop the rest of you. ( LOL )

Welcome number 700 whomever you are! You've come to the right place if you like HL's and the real thing.

Folks, # 700 is:

"sbe"
From: Barre, VT USA
Registered: Oct 2000

His name is Scott. He posted a message in the "did you get thru" thread that he would be at the reunion. John has already acknowledged him and informed him of his responsibility regarding donuts for all. However, I'm thinking John was a little low in his instructions, as he told him he would only need a gross.

If your talkin' donuts, there's none better than Tim Hortons. Big in Canada and now moving into the States. Bob, your 6 a year rule is pretty smart. Got a few guy's on the job around here could use a rule like that!

We are from Holland, MI. We live between Big Red and the Grand Haven Light. We are truly wackos with six curios full of Harbour Lights. Our vacations are planned around lighthouses and car shows. We hope to move off the wait list to the confirmed list for next years reunion in Baltimore.

Welcome 2Beacons, but Holland (1) plus Grand Haven (2) would actually be 3Beacons! (TIC) If I remember correctly, we also have another member or two from Holland area. Sounds like you have been into the HL collecting scene for a while with 6 curios full! Hope you soon graduate from the waiting list to the confrimed list. We'll look forward to you being an active poster here in the Forums.

2Beacons, glad you found the Forums, it sounds like you should have been here 5 curios ago. I'm sure you will probably get to go to the reunion one way or another. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. My husband Terry & myself can't wait to explore the Michigan area for lighthouses. Welcome aboard.

Hello, I am in Nashville, TN and became interested in lighthouse related collecting and in studying about this fascinating subject about 2 years ago. My "collection" is miniscule so far, but I am not interested in having everything I see with a lighthouse plastered on it. I want to collect things that are different than what I have seen over and over. Anyway, I hope to learn from all you "old timers" here as I view myself as the greenest of the "newbies."

Welcome to the Collector Forums. We're practically neighbors. I'm presently living in Jackson, TN. You've found a good spot to learn about lighthouses and Harbour Lights in particular.

Hi Tim, Its good to be back to the family where I`m not the black sheep or for that matter, not even the killer ram. JC said it was possible, but its not that important to warrant the little trouble it would be to do it.

Hi.Very first reply to the forum. I live in Charlotte NC but grew up in St.Louis, where of course there's not a lighthouse for miles.I have been collecting Harbour Lights for about 3 years. I have over 130 pieces and still growing. I'm looking forward to talking on these forums. See you soon. Hello Tim & Terry.

Welcome, Ken. You have already found some of our NC folks, and there are more "transplanted" ones active in the forums. We also have some folks from the St. Louis area. Sounds like you have been a busy collector these past 3 years. We'll look forward to your participation in the forums.

Welcome to the CF, Ken. Sounds like you have quite a collection. If you are looking to fill your collection in with those hard to find missing pieces, make sure you keep a watchful eye on the Marketplace in the CF. Those hard to find pieces pop up every once in awhile.

Once again, welcome aboard!

HEY THERE KEN!!! It's good to see you joined the rest of us Wackos here on the Forums. Just so everyone knows... though Ken is a "Newbie" concerning the Forums, he is honestly a true Wacko regarding Harbour Lights. He is a member of the local HL club (Carolina Lighthouse Seekers) which is where I met him, he and his wife have been to many events and have done some extensive lighthouse touring, and has quite a HL collection. I know he will be an attribute to the Forums! Besides all that, he is an all-around nice guy, (you can pay me later Ken). Again, welcome aboard!

Hello everyone,
I have really enjoyed finding this forum for fellow collectors...I stumbled across it digging through the HL website as I drooled over the lights.I started collecting 2 years ago when I bought my mom Cape Henry, which is here in Va Beach and that was it...Hillsboro and Cape Florida were my first lights and the race was on.Its wonderful to know there are so many others out there that share the same passion as me.Some of you know me from a couple of post I put about the surprise gift and Wishing for Cape Charles..I havent recieved my Navesink yet but am ooking foward to it.I think its a fabulous and generous gift and will always love displaying it.I got to meet Bill this summer at a local signing here and was able to get a few lights signed, including my fav,Ocracoke..I own a cabinet shop and just built my first curio which actually turned out great for not having any plans and just "winging it"..Somehow I see more in the future.Of all the hobbies I have had, this is the one I enjoy the most and its even better when I found this forum.I just recently bought 5 lights and just want more.Ponce or Hilton Head are in the near future..I look foward to getting to know everyone here and looking foward to spending mucho moola. So hello to all..
Kevin

Hi Kevin and welcome aboard. I'm so glad to see you made it to the Collector Forums. I too was bitten by the HL bug a few years ago, and now am heavily involved in collecting. I use to live in Va. Beach (Off of Birdneck Road) while stationed in the USCG. I also worked Cape Henry light (new tower). Again, it's good to have you with us!

It's great to see so many new people posting at the forums. New folks bring new ideas and more topics of conversation. Spread the word to your lighthouse loving friends and show them the way to the Collector Forum.

This is post "50" on this thread, therefore, it will be continued with a new thread.

Bob
