Welcome to the Forums. Let me be one of many to say hello to you. Please post and tell us about your interests in lighthouses and also include a little bit about yourself. While you are looking over the Forums and becoming familiar with our different topics, I want to tell you about our HL Collector Forums Exclusive that is being made for our members. Thank you for the welcome! - My brother Tom, has a house on St. George Island, FL. I love the Gulf and enjoy visiting there. The sun, sand, flowers, shore birds and the gently lapping waves bring me so much peace. - I had lived on Clearwater Beach for 5 years and almost never missed a sunset over the water. There is something about water that moves me. I have been painting oil seascapes since I was 12 years old, even though I had never seen the sea. - Due to recent health issues, I moved to NW Georgia to be near my son.(Furtunately there is a lake nearby) I miss the beach and now to paint it, I have to rely on photos again. But, I have wonderful memories, that enhance and bring more passion to my work. - My brother, Tom, has commissioned me to paint the St. George Lighthouse, based on a photo that he took last summer. I found this forum while doing research. I really enjoyed reading about the history of the lighthouse and your valiant efforts to save it. - I'd love to have any photos, (including permission to use them) That anyone would like to share.
